Always use only positive words while thinking and while talking. Use words such as, 'I can', 'I am able', 'it is possible', 'it can be done', etc

Allow into your awareness only feelings of happiness, strength and success.

Try to disregard and ignore negative thoughts. Refuse to think such thoughts, and substitute them with constructive happy thoughts.

In your conversation use words that evoke feelings and mental images of strength, happiness and success.

Before starting with any plan or action, visualize clearly in your mind its successful outcome. If you visualize with concentration and faith, you will be amazed at the results.

Watch movies that make you feel happy.

Associate yourself with people who think positively.

Always sit and walk with your back straight. This will strengthen your confidence and inner strength.

Walk, swim or engage in some other physical activity. This helps to develop a more positive attitude.

I have always been a positive person but when I was younger I tried to hide it.
I have the ability to be made happy by small events.
When I was younger people would say things like
"You're happy because you are going out for a cup of coffee?
"You are happy because you have bought a lipstick?
"Jeez get a life"

And I would supress the feeling of excitement and curb the urge to skip down the road to the coffee place because that would not be cool. And I thought maybe my life was lacking.
Now?
Hell it's one of the best attributes I possess and I squeal with excitement on a regular basis!!
And bollocks to the doomladen!
I am blessed! Hell yeah!

Why is it not enough to marvel and be happy for the little things in life?
What's wrong with people who don't see that?

Bunnies, I'm with you on that one.
I am currently having some tomatoes on the vine. Mmmmmmm. Delicious. Just exactly what I needed today to feel good.

Neutrality is better than OK. It just means you're normal, which is a very good thing

I have to confess I don't have a neutral gene in my body.
I would diagnose myself as bi polar without the bi!
Just the upbeat part.
My mother always said I reminded her of one of those smily Russian dolls with the ability to get knocked down and roll right on back up again.
Rest assured I am not one of those ghastly "Let's all take lemons and make lemonade" types but I do have a cheerful spirit.
Oh dear I do sound ghastly!

The sun'll come out tomorra
Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow...come what may

Sound of gunfire!!!!

I'm a very happy person too. I figure what ever has happened, my mood isn't going to change the facts, so why waste time and energy being p*ssed off about something I can't change. People tell me I am child like and immature. OK?!? I'm 42 years old. I don't see that as a bad thing. I ride bikes with my son, and play dolls with my daughter. I mean that's what I wished a parent of mine would of done!! Three cheers for the happy people!!

Here's the thing though Gypsee. Your mood can change the facts.
I am currently working in a job where people, left to their own devices will just come in, grunt, not make eye contact with you, mumble and generally ignore you.
Oh no!
Not in the world according to bunnies.
I make my day infinitely more interesting by making them engage with me.
Not in a "Let's heal the world and love our fellow man" crap type way but in a
"Right you cantankerous ol' b*****d, let's see what you got"

It's hilarious and makes the day go so quickly.
First of all they look a tad surprised and then if I get a small response I am on it!
And before you know it, they are telling me their problems, their life stories, showing me pictures, spilling their guts in general.
I particularly love the surly 16-18 yr olds.
The meaner they are the better.
I find the weak spot and they are off like a bottle of pop!
And then they are like different people next time.
Everybody needs validation in some small way and we are all too busy now to give anyone 2 mins, so the survival strategy is to just slink through life unnoticed.
People just like to be listened to.
True, sometimes my eyes glaze over and I wonder what I've started but sometimes I hear a very interesting tale.
Everyone has a story.
And of course they go out smiling thinking I'm wonderful!
