To my friends, an inspirational story...

So, my 18 yr old totaled yet another vehicle, her second in less than a year.

I have been at my wit's end with this young Aqua lady...barely remaining sane at times.

Fortunately I took out full coverage on the vehicle so my financial losses are somewhat recouped. Fortunately she did not end up dead or in jail.

So she begins her online search for a "beater." Her past 2 vehicles have been road worthy, newer than older, low mileage, etc. But I can not afford this for her anymore, so I gave her a price range and told her to look.

She comes upon this 95 Toyota Celica (yea I know a "sports" car, kindof) that is quite affordable, lots of miles, but as we discovered in good repair, mechanically, so I bought it.

Now, the seller was the cousin of the owner. Seems the owner got himself in trouble and is in the county jail, and needed to sell the car to make bail (I did not ask what for...) The seller's cousin's mom is also the seller's cousin (remember I live in San Antonio )

And when I looked at the car yesterday and talked to the mom I immediately connected with her, Jennifer is her name. The seller (cousin) told me she asked him to sell it for her as she has too much going on with her son in jail.

The deal was leagally appropriate and I was quite impressed with the seller's knowledge (a young man himself) and his attention to detail.

I feel so good that hopefully my wayward daughter has a (16 year old) car that she really loves, and hopefully it will last for a while, and more hopefully than that we helped another mom in distress with her son..

o, and the synchronicites were abound....when she found the car online I saw one just like it whilst travling down the road. The seller grew up just a few streets down from where we live, and this is a big city...the lady that transfered our title at the tax office shares the same bday as my kid, and has a brother and a cousin with a bday within one day of mine.

blessings

That's amazing, Hippi

I had similar synchronisity when I got my puppy years ago......no, not that anyone was in jail or anything

The owner's litter is named "Million Star" and I named her "Star Jasmine" before I even knew that........

The owners are originally from my hometown, although they live 1 1/2 hrs. away where I went to get her. (didn't know this until I met them)

My dog was born on the exact day that I took my previous dog Hope to UC Davis Medical center and found out her cancer was terminal and that she had very little time left. I had to pass the town that Jasmine was born in on the way to UC Davis on that day. (not knowing of course)

do you still have the Husky dogs btw?

How cool that it worked out for everyone! I like Toyotas and they tend to last a long time, too.
