Another movie that I love is Kung Fu Panda...Me ------------------ We are mourned on the basis of WHAT we leave behind, not WHO we leave behind. IP: Logged |

Katatonic, I find when I'm feeling low, if I read those lines from the movie it gives me great upliftment. It was just after watching the movie again for the first time since childhood, last year, that I got involved with the man I am now engaged to, and feel is "the one". So I guess another reason I love the movie so much is because it coincided with me finding him/ becoming aware of a deep connection I wasn't aware of before.IP: Logged |

i completely understand the link-to dynamic. and i have a few films like that too. the first time i saw "its a wonderful life" i was 21! and had just connected with someone wonderful...i remember giving him a bell for christmas, because that film meant so much to me at the time...still does, though i see it has become such a standard that many think it trite...the secret garden, first the book and then the OLD film version, have been with me since young childhood and made a big impact on my attitude and life, as did heidi, believe it or not! there are others but my brain is not in gear yet! i haven't seen "never ending" since my daughter was about 10 though. i AM going to rent it...thanks!
