REALLY? Really dear state of Virginia???!!! REALLY, you executed a boarderline mentally retarted woman who did not even pull the trigger??

Well, I shall not be visiting your lovely lands anytime soon, seems you are biased against woman, well, sigh...in my experience the whole judicial system is biased against women!

I see bias against women a lot.

She did have a low IQ but was smart enough to be married and have children.
She also arranged to have her husband and stepson killed for insurance money.

On principle, I am against Capitol Punishment.

RIP Teresa

From what I understand, the shooter got life, not the death...

I am all for justice, but seems it is unfair at times.

I, too, am against the death penalty.

From a spiritual standpoint, I feel that the death penalty is wrong.

Yes, some people have done very terrible things, but I think that serving life in prison, with NO AMENITIES (no TV, no books, no magazine, no socialization, and sucky food) is better punishment. After the person dies, they are going to whatever level of the spirit world that they have achieved from their actions on the earth plane anyways. Putting someone to death, we are releasing them into that level in the spirit world sooner. They don't have to suffer alone in a jail cell, and think about what they have done for the rest of their life. They don't have to pay their debt to the punishment of the physical world on earth, now they only have to deal with whatever they encounter in the spiritual world. (if we execute them)

Morally, I feel that 2 wrongs don't make a right. Where are the morals in killing someone, who has killed another? Are we any better for putting a human being to death?

Unfortuneately, taxpayers have to pay for criminals in jail, as well as the salaries of city, county, and state workers, so it is a double-edged sword.

Next week, someone is due to be executed at San Quentin prison, in California. This is literally 2 mins. from where I am presently sitting at work as I type this.

It does bother me. It bothers me that we are going to kill someone.

I think another large part of my being against the death penalty is my love and compassion for animals...... my feeling that it is wrong to kill any living creature.........who are we to say who should live and who should die?????

Same ol stuff, I suppose, put certain individuals in a position of power and..wham.

It has been 100 years since Virginia enacted the death penalty. Texas does it all of the time, as I hear Cali does as well..

Who in the hell in some high office decided to kill this woman?

Once again, I am all for justice, this is a woman talking who sent her own daughter to jail for beating the crap out of me, but justice served by the appropriate hands is justice...

Not killing a (scared) woman who did not actually commit the deed! Who admitted to participating, engaging, etc. but, again, from what I have read/heard did not "pull the trigger!"

I am hunkered down at home today, seen enough in society today to make me want to stay home.

t~~~

ps watched the movie "The Experiment" last eve..a perfect example of power in the wrong hands!!! My daughter told me it is based on a true story.

This guy is scheduled to be executed Wednesday (I think they do it at midnight Tues. night? ) right near where I sit at this present moment

Yes he has done horrible things........but I feel so sick in my stomach just thinking about executing someone, especially so close to home and work.

Humans are just plain barbaric, both what he did, and the law's punishment.

I'd hate to be the one who pulls the kill switch or however they kill them. I don't think I'd be able to live with myself.

I'd rather see these people locked up. It's a terrible punishment to have to live with yourself and the knowledge that you did what you did.

I agree.. who are we to play judge and jury. These people will be held accountable for their actions and it's not up to their fellow humans to carry that out.

I think that people who kill someone should be all put on an island out in the middle of the ocean somewhere together, and be forced to figure out how to get along. Oh yeah I forgot to add that they should be flown over the island low enough, that when they get pushed out of the plane without a parachute, and told good luck, they don't die.

I think that killing people to show that killing people is wrong.

The island idea, yeah, they would all join gangs. There's a ton of gangs in San Quentin State Prison.

btw the execution has gotten delayed......b/c the drugs expire tomorrow!!!!
