Mine has always been pluto, even before i even knew the intricacies of astrology or what pluto was named for (pluto in rome, hades in greese, god of underworld, yadda yadda)...i just instinctively liked pluto without reason..and now that i know the ins and outs (mostly) of astrology i'm just like "whoooaaaaaaaa.."so, what is your favorite? ------------------ put your foot down once, not stomp it over and over IP: Logged |

Why Saturn, Randall? For me, Venus, for sure. I love when I feel in tune with my Venus. I am the happiest of all when I resonate with it. It is unaspected.I just pulled it up from deep inside during this last Venus Retro. The unaspected planets mature late, if ever. They must be pulled up in the way you would pull up buried treasure. After you have gone through this major effort, you have something special. ------------------ If I am not for myself ,who am I? If I am only for myself, what am I? IP: Logged |

I've always thought Saturn was a beautiful planet, but upon learning about astrology and personally having such a Saturnine influence, I have an appreciation for what it represents. It contrasts Jupiter, and without discipline and sometimes restriction, success cannot be maintained. I don't view Saturn in a negative light at all. ------------------ "Everything I eat has been proved by some doctor or other to be a deadly poison, and everything I don't eat has been proved to be indispensable for life. the sun of course.it warms us up, takes away depression, heats and lights the earth...and gives us grand art while doing it, it's the only planet that has beautiful displays in the sky as it rises and as it sets...beauty that no artist can replicate. it is so grand the rest of the planets are named in it's greatness, hence the word, solar system. if pluto disenigrates, we still live, if saturn falls into one million pieces, we live, if the sun refuses to rise, life as we know it ceases to exist. goodness gratious, great ball of fire! what other planet can do this? or this? while the sun is not considered a planet by astronomers, it is considered a personal planet and as such should be counted "here" for all intents and purposes. were it to be disqualified due to it's "star" status......my second pick would be venus.... my chart ruler....i would love to have it in the 5th house,,,ooops, never mind, i already do.....sillie me. i sure would hate to ever forget how to have fun....be creative...or see random luck be gone! while dear jupiter can be a hoot, she is a bit inconsistant..\\ ok, jupiter, what gives, does my wallet get fatter or my waist line? see...my inheritance or my bills...in the 7th...my enemies or my lover?? see, she loves to expand, but sometimes not where we think...oh my. but.... since she is in 2nd house, i have no gripes with her, as much like the cat that i am, i can land on my feet 10 ways to sunday, and don't really worry about money for whatever i need, it is just always there. thanks jup.... If we are counting luminaires, then for SURE the sun. Without it, ummmuhhh, we wouldn't be having this conversation here on this old Earth.Besides the sun, I would have to say Neptune. Why? Because it's kind of a muse for artist type peoples. Pluto has his moments. IP: Logged |

Venus (my strongest planet according to Pullen), and because I know and understand my Venus and its impact in my life. Even though it is in detriment, I embrace its Scorpio/8th house attitude to the fullest!A close second would be Neptune, my chart ruler. Because it's beautiful, and makes me the dreamy, poetic person that I am. I could easily spend the rest of my life contemplating its mysteries. IP: Logged |

Firecracker, I agree.A telescope was one of my Christmas gifts last year! Astrology and astronomy are so closely related and actually used to be the same discipline. Stargazing is a great habit for anyone with an interest in astrology. For example, the Moon viewed through a telescope gives off an entirely different aura than what we normally see through the naked eye. My favorite aspect of astronomy is the constant reminder of how small and insignificant I really am IP: Logged |

Yes, Neptune is a blue wonder.I want to go back to the cosmosphere. I have not step foot in that place since I was five. It's sort of funny, I miss a lot of stuff as a kid, people don't start thinking like this til their 30, but there's a lot of childhood memories I want to revisit. I plan to go to build-a-bear, around my Christmas break, I know worst idea ever to go during the holiday season, but what can I say I love holiday shoppers and their rustle and bustle.

I have a bit of a thing for Mars. Before I took an active interest in astrology, I found Mars really helpful when it came to spellcasting (can be fantastic, can be awful!), but as I don't have much fire in my birth chart, I feel a strange pull to the planet of war...!IP: Logged |

Neptune is the color of a sky blue or London blue topaz. I had a ring this color. It gave me so much peace when I would look at it ------------------ The most beautiful things in the world can't be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. Helen Keller IP: Logged |
