Linda talks alot about round holes in square pegs and vice versa. For many years I did this. I worked at places that caused me unhappiness, stress and depression. Now I am in school for doing what brings me joy and I feel so free! I will feel better once I can earn an income.

My family often told me writing was bullsh*t. I know they meant well, but telling this wasn't necessary the best advice, I make it a point to tell my son everyday to do what he loves.

So my question for you guys is, what makes you happy career wise? What brings you the most joy and excitement? What is the one thing you'd do whether you got paid to do it or not because you feel so much love and passion while you do it?

Have a lovely day

Librarian. I used to be a volunteer and I've thought hard of getting a MLS to be one professionally. Even though I'm not a volunteer now I tend to act like one, even in helping others at the library.

Still, I had a very bad experience with a library board, even as a volunteer, and it keeps me at a distance. For now, anyway.

Back Breaking Labor, For long drawn out stretches, damn struggle.

In both the heat and cold, Good weather and bad.

Hard to do, But I felt good at the end of the day. I was too obliterated to think, Just needed FOOD/SHOWER/BED. To hell with relationships outside of work.

I wont allow myself to do it currently, I am not physically willing.

Some days I felt like dieing on the spot, Only to have a coworker call me a weak pussy, Then I had to push double hard to make up.

Crazy Days

I'm sorry, Pixia Jane If this makes you very happy, perhaps you should see what you can do to work your stuff out with this issue?

So back breaking labor brings you happiness? Is it the since of accomplishment after a long hard day that gives you contentment?

You're a good writer, EES. That's a good thing to do.

Art and research have always been my things. I enjoy doing both without having any incentive at all. I guess my improv stuff would fit in this category, too.

For me, writing is a total passion too, especially poetry, and I've never felt like I could make a living at it either. The only other things I've loved to do with that much passion and abandon are baking and research, specifically genealogy. I remember hearing from my family that culinary school is too competitive, but for me there is nothing more soothing than making something sweet to eat, and sharing it I am a master research fiend and actually was looking into Library Science degree programs today cause perhaps I cold put my genealogy expertise to good use! I love thinking outside the box and using every source I can think of to find the answers, and I can credit the Scorpio in my chart for that drive (South Node, Pluto and Saturn)...

To be honest I am not sure, It is just what I did for a living at that time and I had to be happy with that.

Well with all due respect, Mblake, I think thats what we call a job. When you do what you have to do because you don't have any other option at time. I've been there, ALOT

You should really take some time to think about what you enjoy doing as a hobby so you can see where your true passion lies

Wow, Miss LEXX good stuff here! I will be looking forward to when your work gets published

My son wants to be an astronaut (not surprised, he is a number 7)

I don't want him to be, you know how moms are worryworts But I still encourage him to chase after his dreams
