Men and women.......funny or what........I sometimes dont get it, do you guys. I spent a week once worrying cos I thought he was p****** off with me.....and it was about work.....I was so bloody relieved......and then thought what a git putting me thro that LOL.....I still aint used to him......thank God!!

Lol Funny!

My hubby had a spate of coming home from work with a face like thunder. It took me weeks to find out it was a colleague at work who was causing the grief. I was worried that he was displeased with me for not having tea on the table or something. lol.

Mine tells me every day the status of hockey.....
Only a month away...
eighteen days away....
We were getting my kids 'back to school' clothes at the mall the other day, and he hightailed it into a video game store to check out the hockey game.
I laughed at him......

"Oh! hockey! I love you so, I have to play you before I can watch you"

Later, we were having dinner with the kids, and talking ( dinner is our goofball time --- one of many, really)
I solemnly looked at the kids and my hubby, and said...'"Honey, do you want to tell them the news?"
He just looked at me like "Wha?"
I said....
"Daddy is marrying Hockey."
"He needs our blessing."
*He called me retarded.*

My roommate Aries talked our Taurus friend into springing for tickets to the first hockey game for our home team today. So I guess we're going to watch Hockey this Sunday.

We're so glad it's back, and it's no surprise to me an Aries would be so obsessed with a sport.

The funny thing is he'll put on a sport and grab a beer, then promptly fall asleep.

I never thought I'd marry that kind of guy.
He is a lot more than that though...
But I'll be expanding my brain and thinking and reading and learning and performing and making art,
and he'll read Maxim.. MAYBE!!!!
and take in a game.
So funny how different we are that way.

I was crap at hockey (most PE) at school as I was an undersized, though aggressive, nerd. The only reason I got put into an inter-house match (once) was a tactical manoeuvre, as I had the effect of hindering the other team.

Mr. Aqua was listening to the England/Australia cricket match yesterday and couldn't believe I didn't know it was taking place.

Nah, you're not a snob, PP...trouble is, men are never perfect. They may be great breadwinners, but then be lacking in other areas. Or great to talk to, but hopelessly disorganized, or not aggressive enough.

lol that's funny.. My bf is obssessed with basketball. We both used to play it in school, but I don't anymore. He plays for this club and has a team and everything. He's always been very sports centered..It's funny because I have Jupiter on my MC and I've always wanted to do something that involves the law in some way (never had a sports related goal). He has Mars on his MC and he's always wanted to play a sport professionaly either bball or rugby. He's a Libra. Libras really like sports as well, I've noticed..team sports mainly.

In addition to this he has joined up at the gym too.....I admire him......but am not like this myelf. Now get me on a dance floor and well, you wont get me off there......dance, dance, dance........

my mom tried to get me off the comp/phone/tv for about the last five days...it was the finale of the england australia ashes,no living soul can take his eyes of it....it was just too gripping,i doubt if I'll ever see anything like that again....

P.S:the eng vs aus clashes have affected relationships between guys and girls everywhere...just read the match reviews,I've never seen sooo many women write match reviews on the net before..and all of them had one thing in common....they wanted their husbands back...

How come girls dont like sports????

That's why you marry an Aquarius - the only sport that he mildly cares about is baseball (and only the Reds and Nationals).

...there is his car, though...
It's a 1963 VW Beetle with a fabric sunroof...right now it's at the paint shop getting L87 Pearl White-d.
My dear husband has the decals, the seats that he reupholstered himself, the mostly new interior workings/new sunroof, and the engine in our living room (behind the couch).
...soon we will have Herbie in our driveway.

pixelp - We've joked about him marrying the Bug, too.

I was always a pretty anti-sports guy until I discovered Hockey through my roommate.

I won't voluntarily watch any of the major American sports. Hockey's different in that it's fast, it's graceful, it's aggressive, and it's nearly impossible to score making the event truly worthy of excitement.

What's more is that you can actually get a sense of the player's personalities, which you often can't in other sports. You can glipse their personality by the style of game they play. There are aggressive players, finesse players, unselfish and selfish players, strategic players, etc.

Not that anyone here really cares about all that, but that's what makes Hockey unique for me.

PP, another thought, I can't help smiling, but your husband sounds like a typical Aries male to me - beer in hand, watching the sport - JUST what my dad would do. He was on all the teams at school...the swimming team...the rugby team...the tennis team...which I suppose made up for a want of intellectual finesse on his part...

And - um, your relationship sounds like the typical Aries/Scorpio relationship - Scorpio wishing that Aries had just a bit more DEPTH or SUBTLETY sometimes. Well, I'm sure they're around (she says)

Look what I've opened up with the sports talk!

Yes, I danced all night at the bachelorette, this weekend!
I am in the wedding party on the 24th. Bridesmaid.
My man is an Aries with Sag rising, he yells at the TV.. too funny.
I try to make fun as much as I can~"Good one, honey! I think they might have heard that last one!"

So there is a soccer game on, my mans fave team called Aston Villa playing. He has roped our son into watching them now, they both wear their football strips and shout at the screen, it is bloody hilarious, but great for me cos I get to do what I want for a while.

So the feckers lost....and apparently its MY fault cos I walks in just before the other team equalised........I only walked in to ask what they wanted for dinner....

Standing in the kitchen and I asks "did they win then", man replies "no and its your fault, you walked in again and the other team fecking equalised".......me standing there p****** meself laughing......then he says "bloody witch" and storms out for a smoke.......ha ha ha.......I love this life....it really cracks me up guys......so now its becos I am a witch that Aston Villa didnt win.......now you kn ow and I know its cos they are sh!te.....LOL !!!

Me and my ment, its getting worse, I swear.

Sue G - is this for real?? LOL, I can't believe it.....

Pixel - I hear you. I also wouldn't have thought I would be married to a guy who first thing turns to the sports page when he reads the paper.... I mean, gosh, I used to go the opera and the ballet, you know... (Virgo lifts her nose, moves on.)

AG, you make hockey sound kind of appealing.. I'm not much of a sports watcher myself, I like tennis, and jumping (horses that is), and of the national past time ball games I find football interesting, lol, but I think I might give hockey a try now. Not that I ever would sit down on a regular basis and watch ANYTHING... No patience for it, especially with commercials in between. (Although the Superball ones are kind of cool.)

Jumping 75 feet off of one ramp and on to another, Freestyle, takes guts.
