Since the thread was closed before I could respond to you and I can't be arsed to figure out how to email you personally and I don't mind sharing publicly ...

To start with - I don't know that I consider myself a real moderator anyway. I 'moderate' on a forum that never.has.any.drama.at.all. No moderating is ever actually involved.

Even if I moderated a fast paced crazy forum I believe in "moderating" as little as possible. I don't like closing threads or stepping in unless things get really out of hand. I think it's stifling otherwise.

As for your questions. I don't recall ever just posting smiley faces as a response and I'm a little confused about why you mentioned me at all in regards to not posing as much as I used to or not sharing anything personal.

I don't post very much in Astrology 2.0 because, honestly, I don't know a whole lot about astrology so I don't have a lot to contribute. I don't usually respond to threads unless I find it constructive or at least entertaining in some way. I think I post almost as much as I ever have but it comes in waves. Sometimes I'll post quite a bit for a couple weeks and then I just don't feel the urge for a couple months. I guess the only thing that would hold me back slightly is that I don't feel like people care that much if I post anything. I'm not popular and frankly I didn't think anyone noticed at all if I post or not. OH and if I'm tempted to respond to someone because they've ****** me off and I think they are a complete pratt then I *try* to refrain since I'm supposed to be all moderator-ly or something. I can't recall ever 'stroking another moderator off'. Honestly, I don't know most of them well at all.

I think in this forum (which I enjoy because it tends to be more raw and honest than others where people are guarded and on their best behavior) I've participated in at least 5 or 6 threads fairly recently. There were a couple others I wanted to participate in but they were locked before I got to them which bugs me to no end.

"thoughts on divorce" I posted several times in depth and got VERY personal.

"41 rules men wish women knew.( for fun)"

"How Do Women Test Men...And Why?"

"I woke up this morning in a pool of my own blood..." which, btw, I got really friggin' personal in.

I have a dream thread going in in Astral Realms about my extremely personal journey with infertility.

I just posted in Heathcliff's Corner about my dog dying yesterday.

So I hope that answers some of your questions and I hope I don't sound hostile or anything. I'm dealing with a lot of pain today losing our dog and this was sort of a distraction for me. I also hope this doesn't get locked. I enjoy free discourse.

Oh and to make this Astrology related just for fun - I am an Aries and it is an ongoing process for me to try not to be so self-absobed.

I think she was only wondering where you were. I've been wondering how BearsArcher is, too.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog.

Maybe that is all she meant.

If so... maybe I just took it too personally.

I'm having a bad bad bad bad bad bad time right now.

I've been having a really bad time of it, too. Just when you think things can't get any worse...

I know that you are usually very thoughtful. I've missed seeing you around, too. I doubt that she was poking at you.

I can't possibly know what you are going through, MW, but I imagine it is agonizing. My thoughts are with you. When we love deeply, an animal is more than a pet--it's a member of the family. I wish you much comfort during the mourning.

I just read the thread in HC. Very sorry to hear MW. That is really terrible and I can't imagine what youre going through either.

Also, i'll keep it short and just say: What teasel said.

Thanks teasel.

I probably should have written it differently as I didnt explain it well enough I guess.

I'll not get into it though, because i'll be accused of doing something I'm not again.

Thanks for your explanation.

Love to you and fam.
