"Sometimes, Mars in Scorpio people are attracted to taboos, and their fantasies may involve blowing the taboos to smithereens!"
http://www.cafeastrology.com/zodiacscorpio.html

"A good friend of mine likes to point out that Scorpio’s interest in death and sex is not something intrinsic to the sign. Rather, it is a product of our society’s taboos surrounding these subjects. Scorpio explores whatever is taboo, off-limits, or unacknowledged in a society. Scorpio dislikes superficiality, euphemism, and evasion. Scorpio is drawn to what others fear to look at."
http://starweaverwitch.wordpress.com/2008/10/22/scorpio-keeper-of-the-deep/

"The “urge to merge”' is expressed through erotic love which is the desire to connect on the psychic level, not just the physical. Personal and spiritual power and risk come into play when there is consummation at that level. One astrologer said, “Scorpios are not really the sex fiends of the zodiac; that's Taurus! Scorpio likes the power of giving pleasure to another. Having someone else addicted to you is a real rush.”  Money is also power, and it is rarely, if ever, possible to become involved in a close relationship with a Scorpio type and not have money as one of the main issues. They like to use, or have access to,  “other peoples’ money,” and they give some service or “treasure” in exchange; that also is erotic. Scorpio is the “socialist” of the zodiac as well as the “mutual fund.”

Richard Idemon defined an erotic relationship as one in which two or more people come together in such a way that all parties are transformed by the experience. The movie, “Fearless,” starring Jeff Bridges, provides a good example of  non-sexual erotic relationships that develop among survivors of an air crash.  Another example is the doctor-patient relationship. In the process of healing,  both the healer and the patient are empowered or re-empowered.

Taboos represent society's way of imposing its collective psychic power on and over individuals. Those courageous enough to break taboos risk exile and excommunication. Taboos are controls placed on the Taurean areas of basic survival and comfort. There are taboos around FOOD (what you can and can’t eat and when – we are not supposed to eat other humans, Hindus are not supposed to eat any animals, Jews are not supposed to eat dairy at the same meal with animal flesh), and SEX (who you can and can’t have, when and in what position – “missionary” with him on top). The mysteries of birth and death also come under taboo controls. For instance, it’s not O.K. to talk about death openly; we as a culture pretend it doesn’t exists, or at least won’t happen to us and we try to “protect” the children from exposure to it."

I do not feel s & m is taboo or breaking taboos, just me personally. I feel it's the control and domination that appeals to the Scorpio. But I see how others can view it as such.

Does that even count? I think for me what I consider taboo are the more public acts like who you date or who you marry. Cross cultural has always intrigued me. To a lesser extent different social backgrounds has also held my fascination. Age both lower and higher too but ehh I have boring Taurus stuff right opposite my Scorpio planets..

I think sharing is very taboo for me in the same way other people might view s&m coz it's not something I am inclined to do at all.

Haha, that seems so Taurus.
Also, what are you not inclined to share? Is is just sharing in general?

Spoken like a true Uranus unaspected, IMO. I don't view those as taboo, rather as huge rebellion on my part. Haha, could just see my mom's face LMAO she'd flip out hahahaha! As you know she's Taurus and quite the traditionalist. Daddy would threaten to disown me lol but would eventually remember I am his only heir lmao and he's not that rich lol. I have Taurus IC but Uranus in 10H and likely to pull a stunt like that and tell them all to f*ck off
But yeah, wouldn't consider those taboo, more like acts of rebellion against oppressive upbringing. In our house sex was taboo. And crying.

No.. Just partners/ the person I actually care about.. I can share most of my possessions but my stuff are too distinct and have a personal touch anyway that they'd really look like they'd borrow my stuff anyway..Leo moon lol!

It is intriguing tho..

I would not say "taboo", for me it is surprising, almost always surprising, what some consider pleasurable.

Perhaps its saying Scorpios are attracted to the extreme, against the current, against the perceived and accepted "norm" or what is expected of them. The taboo for a Scropio influenced person would be to not transform to not make waves.

Oooh...I love most sexual taboos (or what others would consider taboo)..some that I dare not even mention..ever. To the grave, lol.

I'm a Capricorn female but I have a lot of Scorpio influence going on. Scorpio ASC, Scorpio Pluto conj ASC, Scorpio Venus conj ASC and trine Mars, 8th house ruler conj Sun, etc...

For instance, a lot of people think anal sex is taboo. That is pretty normal and acceptable to me. A lot of people think BDSM is taboo...again, not to me. I'm a huge perv, though. hahahhaah

Wow!

I'm a Virgo sun with a Scorpio moon (rather than mars) and I'm the same. Perhaps not so BDSM oriented (though I'm open to experimentation) but definitely kinky with fantasies about some seriously taboo and frankly, strange, things!

Personally I don't believe in going through life keeping things secret and maybe missing out on a chance to try them - I wouldn't want to take my kinkiest desires to the grave with me - if I love something enough to fantasise about it then I want to try it for real! My girlfriend doesn't get it at all. I've told her all of my fantasies but she won't go for any of it.

When I search online (hence how I found this thread) to see what people are saying I always seem to find women complaining that their men won't experiment, while I'm dying to experiment but have a woman in my life who refuses to!

Hahahahahaha there is no "taboo" to a person, individually. I consider taboos to be a social idea...
