Most of the time it works well and posters keep it within the forum description. The closed thread was one of such that could have been discussed in a tasteful and informative manner. It is when it denigrates into street language and trash talk it goes south... fast.

With 2 Mods under heavy stress loads, one absent and one very busy, the forum is left open to this envelope pushing interaction.
I`m NOT pointing fingers at posters as I know that`s just the way it rolls on the internet.

Take back the inch and the mile will take care of it`s self.

For old "prunes" like me it does and obviously you as well but how would you handle it? For me it is simply, don`t play into it. It doesn`t cure the titles/content but anyone who doesn`t respond is someone not keeping the distasteful threads moving along. With a sincere reason why, share your thoughts with the webmaster or mods.

My stance is harsh and is unpopular, but I'm not part of management. I have no qualms of sharing my opinions and really don't care about nonsense like reputation. However, keep in mind that I'm in the distinct minority and my views may not be reflective of the overwhelming majority.

I'm not here to preach or legislate morality. That's not my place in life, and since I massively fall short of most proper standards, I shall not throw rocks while living in a glass house.

This is an astrology forum. Hatred, sex, murder, rape and related topics have no place in this forum. This forum is registered in the State of Georgia. Sodomy is felonious in Georgia (State code Section 16-6-2), with penalties ranging from 1 to 20 years. That ought to be enough for all such discussion to be erradicated.

That includes bondage, S&M, torture and all else.

Hate speech is a crime within various state jurisdictions, and that does not just encompass racial or preference bias. Hate speech is not just a Civil Rights issue, and extends to religious preference. Yet, it is rampant across this forum. The threat of massacre is not protected by any federal or state statutes (e.g., I want to kill all ____ astro sign).

Very simple. I want Buddhists and Hindus and Islam to have the same protections as the LGBTs, African Americans, Latin Americans, etc., and by extension, there should be no hatred of Judeo-Christian groups.

It is really very simple. No hate speech and no sex talk. There are 14 year old girls openly talking about relations with males, including sexuality. There should be strict age enforcement. Honestly, SweetPeas shouldn't even be accessible to guests. Only registered members with full age certification should be allowed into Sweet Peas.

I can go on and on, and let the record show that even if I were not a shriveled up raisin, which I am, I would still have the same conservative views. I had the same opinions I have now when I was an 18 year old.

Before trying to amend the behavior of LL members, I respectfully suggest that you guys look at your own moderators. I firmly believe in leading from the front and through exemplary conduct. Modify management's behavior and the masses will follow suit.

If I offended anybody, and I'm convinced I have done so, then it's just ***too bad.***
