I will start as this makes me feel that God made me special( as each of us are)

Each person comes in with gifts and talents but it is hard to overcome our negative conditioning and find them, sometimes, especially if you had childhood abuse.

I love to sing harmony. If I am down and try to figure out harmonies to songs, my depression will lift.

Well, last week, my music teacher told me that very few people are able to sing harmonies because they will join the main singer. He said a very small number of people can even do it--maybe 40% of the population.

That made me feel special and thankful to God for this gift He gave me.

What about YOU?

I was serious only about the first sentence. Not that I wouldn't want this job

I have no special talent. Or I'm not aware of it yet.

Lol sounds like my kind of job. Chocolate is supposed to make you happy.

As for me (mood-switch here), I've just cut nearly all of my friends and friends-that-dropped-off-face-of-the-planet friends at least for a few more months. This is special because I normally can't break up and always hope things will get better/hold onto one or two good memories. I've been crying over this more than normal for someone my age. I just miss them so much ;__; But they've just proved to me one more time that they don't care about me. No interest, nothing. None of them wished me good luck for my operation, not before nor afterwards. I have to stay away or I'll just get my hopes up again.

I hope so. The last few groups of friends I had really started feeling like effort to me, which means there was something wrong.

That is so cool, AG.

My son could do that, too. He had an old lady babysitter and he used to call people using her voice.

He used to call her husband and get away with it

Thanks, Ami, I really appreciate it. This comm was actually one of the reasons I finally started seeing the redflags (wow, that sounds so intense!).

Because I do want to add something more light-hearted: I have very vivid dreams. It's always a bit of guessing what it's going to be this time when I go to sleep. I used to get a lot of ideas for writing this way.

OK. I'll share.

I give away 25% to 30% of my income. I would like to ideally give away 50%,but I'm not there yet in income.

One day, I would like to be like Bill Gate, and pledge away 98% of his net worth.

I thought so YTA, at the end of the day, there is business, then there is being human.

This is one of the things that is misunderstood about Cappies, it is more you will do what you do to make $$$, once you make it though, for mature Cappies it is not the be all end all..it's just a game in a way.

For myself, what I'm really good at is offering insight, sometimes I can see through situations as if they were made of glass.

Big part of that is listening, the other part of it is feeling, the last part is doing what one will say one will do..one does do it.

INOW, I can easily build trust and rapport, and can read things easily..sometimes.

That and the harder I work, other people work, not sure if that is leadership at that level or not, have noticed do have a knack for motivating people.

YTA, that's a great goal but what you're already doing is great enough. If I ever became rich, I wouldn't be mean either.

That is awesome, Ian. Do you find that the more you give, the more God gives you.

You can never out give God.

Whatever I give, I get back 3 fold usually. It is cool to see God work like that. I bet you do, in spades

It's better than dwelling in frivolities like booze and extra women on the side. I can't stand hungry children, or children without proper attire.

Exactly, for myself love the idea of the micro loans in developing countries, it just makes so much sense.

50 bucks in the US is no huge deal, in some places it literally can launch a business that succeeds.

^ I <3 Kiva and have been lending/relendig money through it for years.

Once you get a good amount in circulation, you always have some to relend
Your post just reminded me to check - I have enough to give to two borrowers
http://www.kiva.org/lender/proxieme

I'm not sure if there's a way to be "friends" on Kiva, but if there is, we should be.

Edited to add: If anyone out there hasn't lent through Kiva but would like to, if you let an existing Kiva member invite you you'll both get $25 to lend for free
(Made possible by a large grant from a private donor.)

Hint, hint.

Just kidding, though - you don't know me from Eve.

BUT if you do know-know someone who lends, it's a nice deal.
