It is of course an exaggeration but they do seem to be more attached to the past than the rest of us. Us Aries are like "Dan, who?" couple of hours later. (if there's one time I am deeply thankful for the classic Aries short attention span is after break-ups)

Sort of Hera, thing is, it's just not fair ton yourself or to the person you've just met to drag that corpse around.

I learned this a long time ago, it's served me well over time

Indeed it's not. But it is very common. We all have relational baggage.

True, both parties come into a relationship with histories, the thing that is unfair to do is to then treat the new person as if they were the other person.

Intensity, passion, insecurity.. it's all mixed up.
And of course it can create lots of trouble, when it gets out of control (ask anyone who's been in a relationship with a Pluto-dominant individual, ha..).

I guess it takes time and experience to figure oneself out.

This... yes.

I have many aspects that make me "intense" in love but youth, anxiety, and other insecurities made it completely STUPID before I matured (I also had uncontrolled bipolar disorder).

I was a hot mess... it was a fun ride though and it makes me appreciate the calm & stable relationship I have now.

On a side note, here is advice for normal people who are trying to "help" crazy people like me.

When people told me I was too intense or when my friends thought that maybe I needed to take a break from relationships, it just ****** me off and made me pursue things more. I remember thinking, "don't tell me I'm crazy, I'll show you crazy"... it became a direct challenge.

I was also very annoyed about being told what I feel (e.g. "it's not love") because no one can walk in my shoes. It's like when someone dies and some other butthole says, "I know what you're going through"... no you don't! You may relate to loss, but you don't know what someone is going through.

Random thoughts.
