It is weird but yesterday, I realized I can learn things like I used to when I was younger and not frozen( PTSD kind of numb)

When you are numb, you can't learn. That is why people will keep doing the same thing and not seem to learn the lesson. They can't, literally.

I have been on a journey with this that I can describe later if anyone is interested,

Thanks PS
Please don't confuse my talking about it with wanting to stay there. Talking out it is the first step out.

Im glad to hear that. I know its very difficult to get out of it. I think a person needs to try to come to terms with it. I, myself, am not entirely sure anyone can recover 100%. I feel like, it will always remain a part of you.

Mine was childhood abuse. Yours sounds like it was some sort of an assault. You don't have to talk about it but what kind of childhood did you have?

One thing I have learned from doing counseling again, after not doing it for many years. (I am a Masters Level counselor)

You have to meet the person where he IS. You may think he is immature, wallowing, a jerk, a baby, spoiled etc but that is HIS reality.

You have to respect that and get into his reality so you can join him there. That level of acceptance is needed for change. I guess it is Carl Rogers.

I just realized that as I said it. I studied Carl Rogers but I think I just got him

Haha Not necessarily. My point is that you always have to try to look forward and know that life won't wait for you to "get better". Not necessarily to be optimistic (at least not fully) but to persevere.

Interesting, didn't know you're a counselor. I tried to go to one. Found her completely useless , and left. I mean, she made me see things from a different perspective but she didnt make my problem go away. (maybe i'm expecting a bit much?)

About counseling, after I got my degree, I felt like I was too immature and too messed up myself to really offer counseling so I went into holistic health or God opened the door for me because I walked into one of the top holistic doctors in the country, then, and he hired me as an assistant, which is someone who does everything by his side.

I learned so much about energy medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy nutrition, auras, etc.

I tried various counselors and no one helped. They made me worse, actually.

Now, I am an astrologer and a counselor and I think I have a lot to offer but the reason is not my intellect as much as my heart.

Healing is a heart thing. Love has to be the root.

Also, you have to have failed enough that you are humble

I help many people from these traits but you don't need to be a counselor to have them. Wise people like Randall, Lalalinda and IQ have them. These people all helped me get to the place where I can help others.

However, back to the subject of frozen. When you are frozen, nothing can really get you out of it but a supernatural, spiritual way imo.

People tell you, all the time, that things happened a long time ago and try to make you feel guilty you are not better but it is a defense mechanism put there to save your life and to save you from going insane.

In turn, you are numb and frozen. That is the flip side of being saved from death or insanity but it is not a choice. It is a defense mechanism installed in you by your body and mind.

Do you want to talk about your being frozen, PS?

I have cancer Moon conj the MC. I think part of my purpose in life is to help others open up by opening up myself.

People love me and hate me for the same thing but I don't care by now

Would you like to talk about your being numb. I am here to listen if you do.

I'll pass on the opening up part. I've put everything behind me. On another note, I wanted to get a degree in psychology but I couldn't. Later I realized that this was the best thing that I didn't do. I don't think I have the patience to listen to people anymore. I don't mean to come off as a narcissist but I really feel tired after listening to people's troubles. I think I was more patient when I was younger.

It really gets to me and honestly, I feel like there's only so much the a person can do. If you don't find the strength within you to go on then no amount of talking, meds or listening is going to help you.

I find that water signs are usually wrapped up in their own emotions and don't care to listen to others troubles. Suprisingly Aquas are the best people to listen to your problems and offer advice. We are non judgemental and have usually seen it all.

You are good but other Aquas may not be
You have a warm moon. That is why, I think.

This is one man's opinion. You can chuck it if you want and please do, if you don't want to embrace it but your Virgo Moon is making you not feel the pain so you try to move on and be strong and "overcome" but imo, that won't work.

IDK I have my own radical theory about empathy. Imo detachment is necessary to be able to truly sympathize with others. My experience has been that most watery types can't get past their own emotions so they can't really be empathetic to others. Although I think highly evolved water people are the most empathetic of all.

You are very polarized between sensitivity and feeling everything and a Moon that tells you to get over it. Your Mars would do the same. You would take your pain and try to reach goals.

You have a point about very watery people. It is all a balance, I guess
