Heh... for the few people that know me, you probably weren't expecting to see *that* topic title next to my username.

I have no game, for the most part. But if I get my hands on somebody, it's allll over. Killin' em softly. Yeeeeeah! Sun Scorpio with Venus and Mars in Virgo in the 8th...

To myself, last night: Damn, son.

Ahem. So I'm having a pretty good day. How about you folks?

How`s Mars in Virgo. I am curious. As I know a guy who has Mars-Jupiter-conjunction in Virgo. Just wondering you know...

Mars in Virgo is kinda quiet, doesn't advertise and doesn't really chase. But Mars in Virgo gives really good backrubs/massages. Among other things.

Mars conjunct Jupiter in Virgo... I bet that guy gets really lucky with his career, or in day-to-day work/tasks. He's a bit of a nitpick, a bit of a perfectionist, and normally perfect is kinda unreasonable, but he manages to pull it off anyway. Getting stuff done just the right way, at just the right time.

I don't know much about Jupiter. It's probably wrong to think of it as the "good luck planet", even if that's what the end result is. Maybe it's more like... Jupiter energy helps people move past the stumbling blocks more easily than other people. They always see the light at the end of the tunnel, or the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
That's a huge thing to have in aspect with a Virgo placement -- Virgo's perfectionism, with Jupiter's expansion and optimism. I jelly.

I'll venture this bit of advice:

If you had a bad experience -- by "bad", I mean abuse, not just poor compatibility -- go find someone with a personal planet in Virgo, and maybe a personal planet in a water sign. The water placements will help them empathize with you, and Virgo lives to please. "Awww! Can I make it all better with a backrub?" (Cheesy, but that's the idea.) If you're a strong fire or air person, you could substitute the water placement for a fire or air placement, and you'd probably get someone with a similar vibe.

Thank you Ami!

Right now, I'm a little worried that when I die, my headstone is gonna say "wasted potential". I need to do something about that. Self-actualization.

I honestly did not mean to brag, and I wasn't looking for affirmation with this. I don't think it changes anything really, but it was safe and fun, and I made someone else happy.

I keep finding people that are going through or have been through a hard time. Bad luck, trouble with family, unappreciated, abused... whatever. But I find them, or they find me, and I get to show them some genuine affection. Maybe I'm an instrument of karma. I kinda like that. It's my Pluto in Libra at work (or maybe my Saturn - Pluto conjunction).

I was talking to my son about this and I need the help.
The Bible says that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
This is so true because if a person thinks he is cool, sexy etc, other people do too.
With woman, if a woman feels she is beautiful, she will be thought of as such.
So much of how people react to us is what we think of ourselves.
This is me talking to myself

Even if you were bragging - so what? I am sincerely against our society's moral preachings of excessive humbleness, heaven forbid that you'd actually feel good about yourself . We all need a healthy dose of ego boosting (self)appreciation from time to time - especially Cap risings (and Virgo placements). If you have it right, flaunt it!

I knew you were a sexy beast from the start. I even dare to say there's potential for so much more. May I say, love the new Blackbird energy!

Making a difference in someone's life, even if small, is a sure way to happiness.

By the way, did you know you're an 11 Lifepath? You were born to touch lives, to teach, to inspire, to soothe. It's a Master Number.

Actually this is one of the times I have to disagree. The bible says to be humble and meek and have confidence only in God.I don't think God wants us to feel bad about ourselves but I don't think he would approve of confidence the way modern society sees it either. Most of what society sees as confidence is blatant narcissism, that's a big no no to God.

Meek is humility. Randall has humility but he is STRONG. The same with IQ.

Humility is just a right opinion about yourself.

God says you have wonderful value and you are loved.

If we hate ourselves, we are not humble. If we hate ourselves, we are out of God's will because he loves us so much and wants us to be happy.

We can't be happy if we think we are worthless.

Meek gets a bad rap and is not used right

Can we please not make this about religion?! There's DD for that. Besides, Ami, you're preaching to the wrong crowd. Blackbird has Saturn in the 9th.

But there is a big difference between not thinking you are worthless and thinking you are hot stuff, a world of differece. To me a healthy ego is knowing who you are as a person and not letting others opinions of you get you down, not posting shirtless pics or duck face pics online and bragging about how sexy you are. Unfortunately most people seem to think the latter is the healthy option .

Yes. I've seen and heard the same message from many people, many places, in many ways. It's the power of positive thinking.

If you think you can't, you can't -- or won't.
If you think you can, you can.
("I think I can, I think I can!")

I don't know enough, or I'm not spiritual enough (yet?) to know if holding such a positive mindset sends out some kind of vibration into the universe that helps bring about the outcome someone is envisioning.

The basic psychology by itself makes sense to me. If we think we can, or we know that we can, then we have enough faith in ourselves to try. If we think we can't, then we won't try.

I agree with aquaguy though, there is a difference between self-confidence, which is a sign of a healthy, strong ego, and narcissism or bragging, which are signs of insecurity, signs of a weak, unhealthy ego.

When people say that someone has a "big ego", what they mean is that the person has a weak ego -- the person feels the need to push their ego onto other people so that person can feel better about themselves.

IMO,
A positive attitude has value inasmuch as it is a realistic. In the context of dating people tell men "Be confident! and you will get the girl". Maybe I'm a negative nancy but I am fairly certain that I will never find myself in bed with a victoria's secret model no matter how confident I am. The law of attraction and pop positivity crowds would have you believe that you can control how people will respond to you if you behave in a positive manner, it just doesn't work that way. We can't control what others do or how they react to us, all we can do is put our best foot forward and hope for the best. Its good to be positive but you have to also be realistic.

Yeah, I bet he didn't think he would end up marrying this gorgeous woman either.. Yet he made it happen. Why? Because his spirit lights up the room, that's why.
