The writer. He can imagine himself being an athlete or anyone else for that matter.Besides it`s not the gymnastic that I would be looking for, not the form, but the content. IP: Logged |

Adding: Being a great lover requires more than athleticism. Empathy - the ability to put oneself in another's shoes - is a wonderful asset when endeavoring to please another, and it's something that most writers (by necessity) usually have in heaps. ------------------ I love it when people use the word "sheeple". Well this topic made me get out of my lounge, net surfing position.A writer, but that is from a woman's standpoint, which I am assuming these posts are. I think a man just might answer different? IP: Logged |

Athlete, hands down, shy, introverted and neurotic does not spell "great lover" for me. IP: Logged |

I think they both would make great lovers, but for different reasons...the writer would be more creative and more attentive in bed, while the jock would probably have alot of stamina from all the sport play! While the other would lack that quality vice versa. IP: Logged |

With the possible exception of you, Ami ( ), most of the time I've heard people use that word they're simply regurgitating the thoughts of others. Left, right, or indefinable, to me "sheeple" is the true sign of unoriginal thinking. IP: Logged |

So far, we have one man who dissents. Let's see if anyone else does.

Yeah, it's not either or, there is no reason why a writer cannot be an athlete or an athlete cannot be a writer. Generally though, the writers I've met are just very introverted, chatted with one who told me "you have to write for 15 straight days". The athletes I've known tend to be more action oriented, but they to put in long hours doing whatever it is. Both can drink heavily at times.. IP: Logged |

I'd prefer the athlete, if he's a "nice" person. Dated the "writer" type. Well the conversations were great. But after a while I felt like I was being drowned. They just read into everything I did and said a little too much, took things a little too seriously and hence made things more complicated than necessary. Tried to psychoanalyse me and I disliked that. I like them as friends, but not as lovers. Anyway I'm more the "writer" type so I'd prefer someone who's different. IP: Logged |

Is it too much to ask for (or offer) both? There are a lot of people here that can write well. I'd tentatively put myself in that group. It takes a little time (or inspiration) for my creative juices to start flowing. And I've been exercising pretty regularly. I climbed 20 flights of stairs yesterday, and the day before, I rode my bike about 10 miles. "If you go home with somebody, and they don't have books, don't **** 'em!" - John Waters

If you go home with somebody, and they don't have books, don't **** 'em!" --> better check to see if they've actually read the books. I've met too many people who buy a few books and display them at home to make themselves look "intellectual".
Lol apparently that's one of the little "tricks" that some guys I know use to lure the ladies. IP: Logged |
