Discovered something, I'm far far more creative, more focused when I'm angry.

Not the sort of bitchy angry, more a deep seated, in your gut anger, it does not go away, culturally speaking it is the antithesis of Buddhism

Buddhism is deception, it removes drive, it removes focus, I'd **** on Buddha if I had the chance

That sounds interesting

When I'm angry I lose concentration actually…so that is good that you are able to channel your anger into a useful thing

anger removes doubt

A fox and a cat had a conversation, the fox told the cat, "I have 1,000 ways of escaping" the cat said "I have one, I run up a tree"

Wolf showed up, fox was thinking of those 1k ways of escaping, cat ran up a tree..wolf ate the fox

Blush

It's more...I've realized what drives me is not leafs on trees and autumn winds

Anger cuts through all of that, perhaps I've found out...dude..you are going to have to be 100% real with yourself and you are not happy now

Maybe its good for you but I hate being angry, despise it. I cannot function properly when I'm angry. Unfortunately anger is an emotion that I'm all too familiar with. I am what I.Q would consider an angry young man with 12th house planets. Early this year I was in a very dark place emotionally. I was extremely angry, frustrated, and felt trapped and hopeless. Frankly I was seriously considering doing something crazy but suddenly the subject of meditation came into my mind. I am convinced that was divinely inspired because I had never even considered meditation before and after I meditated I felt a million times better. I realized that letting things go is much better than being angry all the time.

Perhaps AG, thing is, there is a difference b/t a Righteous anger and Limp anger

Righteous anger is directed at yourself, you've lost your edge and you can feel it

So you fast, you learn new things

Limp anger is just blah blah

Enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think a righteous anger can make one stronger such as when one realizes that they won't take @##@ anymore and they will take apart the person who foists it on them.

That is awesome, AG. That was God. I had the same kind of miracle with my stomach. I was putting all my emotions into it and it hurt me all the time. I called on God to help me. Raw garlic came to me and it has really cured it.

I'm most creative when I experience strong emotions. Feeling angry, furiously angry is one of those times. This is a bit strange but I feel that my "senses" become sharper when I'm angry (could be just a "feeling"). The things I make when I'm angry often turn out to be quite grotesque, but beautiful at the same time.

When I'm angry my mind turns quite "ugly". It kinda makes me feel uncomfortable but it also feels so "right" and "glorious" at the same time. I love it. It reveals the "me" in my most primal state. Instinct.

Speaking of Buddhism view on anger, I found an article that is quite interesting.
http://www.beliefnet.com/Faiths/Buddhism/2000/11/Transforming-Anger.aspx?p=1

I find these parts agreeable:

quote:
Intense angry feelings don't automatically become unhealthy or destructive or drive negative actions.

quote:
We should not dismiss, ignore, or repress them

I'm on the fence about Buddhism.

Maybe this has nothing to do with what you are talking about Padre but I just thought about this.

A few years back I was in an abusive situation with a young man. By no means am I romanticizing this situation because it could have led to something horrible the longer it dragged on (I eventually got the hell outta there), but I created some very strong artwork at this time. I was internalizing a lot of feelings that would be considered ugly and expelling them through art. Actually, any time I went through some type of inner turmoil that wasn't just self-pity, some very creative work came out of it.

Fast forward to now, I am with people who are a lot more positive for me and my life has improved to where I am more content. I don't suffer from turmoil as much (except random bouts of self-pity that leads nowhere) But creativity wise, I have become a bit lazy.

Maybe for me it is just a phase, but you may be onto something

Muddy and Padre, don't you both have Aries Moons?

I think it may come with the territory with you guys.

I can't say my anger makes me stronger. In fact, I believe it makes me vulnerable. It is a weak spot. I'm more easy to trap when I'm angry. I make decisions I regret later on.

I will say it does make me more focused, on the object of my anger. And oblivious to anything else.

I think like all emotions, anger has its purpose. But I would not want to perpetuate it past attaining its purpose. I do not want it turning into hatred and becoming my sole motivation for living. I do not care for such a life myself.

AscLibraSagSun,

It's not that dear one, granted if I'm not careful such anger leads to a very very bad, self destructive place

Ah, **** that, this is where my energy is, do not fear it, realize what it is.

I've seen good young woman do things that they should have not done, I've seen good men break themselves down and toss out the damn window what they were about.

seen mothers embrace darkness, as in evilness

yep, that drives me, it galls me, it burns my ass tbh

this is where my creativity happens, in fact need more of it, need to look them in the eyes when that choice is made, and feel why they did it.

Raise you children, if not children, be yourself, now I must speak
