It looks like my mind is getting out of the system and when I think of it, sometimes I feel like I come from a different planet but for some reason ended up here.

I'm not a patriot.
I don't care about team sports.
I don't watch tv.
I don't party.
I don't want to be a mother.
I don't want marriage.
I don't care about facebook.
I don't date.
I don't have sex.
I don't follow any religion.
I'm not into girly stuff.
I don't care about degrees.
I don't sunbathe (the majority of people seem to be obsessed with being tanned, at least in summer).
And probably a few more things I can't remember now.

I wonder if I ever meet someone I could relate to on many levels. It would be nice to be friends with another alien.

Do you know anyone who's outside the system?

Nope...

Oh, I got another one.
I don't favor people related to me over those non-related.

What is "the system?"

In certain ways, in my own ways, I'm more "extreme" than you are. So what?

Do you at least have your own ways of having fun?

It's completely normal i'msocappy, i have a few similarities to your 'dislikes and likes' but YTA gave a good question, what do you like?

do you do stuff you like even if it's a niche just so that you at least have something that you feel happy about and that helps you grow as a person in life?

also make sure many of your dislikes aren't a personal protest at a lot of the 'stupidity' as i used to call it in my mind, that you see going around you....if you do end up doing something that someone you don't like also does, it doesn't mean you are like them

Dani, why must you be so far away?

Well, I'm not completely opposed the possibility of getting a love life someday And I'm not saying I'll never party again. We will see.

Your whole list is true for me as well and I'm perfectly fine with it.
Blame it on astrology AND education

Edit: oh no, sorry, I do care about degrees lol

So you don't go to uni and you don't want to to get married..

May I ask what are you are going to do with your future?
Unless you're parents are rich.. I guess you have that financial freedom then!

I want to do a lot of things with my life, I can't live a mediocre miserable life.
I'm going travel all over the world so I need $$$$$ and someone to travel with in case one of my limbs get stuck in between some boulders LOL.

I don't think you live outside of the system at all.
You probably live at home with your parents, so you don't have much responsibilities either.
Living outside the system is more like a hermit who lives in a forrest, amish, or drifters..

I think you just lack ambition.
Actually I know tons of youngsters like you.
Gliding through life with no sense of direction.

It's kinda sad, it's not you're fault.
Your parents probably never really guided you..

Do you know what you want to do with your life?

Of course I don't live outside the system. I'm outside of it mentally. Besides, I never said I don't care about money at all. I would appreciate if you stepped off me, this is getting annoying.

I've met many who match that list in whole or part and some stranger still. If you want to find some kindred spirits then I'd suggest moving to Jefferson (don't confuse this with being accepted by society, it has their bad and oppressive elements as well, but plenty have dropped off the grid in this area and live outside the system, but that doesn't mean the cops necessarily leave them alone).

If you move to Humboldt County specifically (Arcata can be a lot of fun for outsiders despite the city government trying to get rid of the free spirits) then save your receipts, the data entry sucks (I'm guessing because of the rampant pot smoking there) and you'll be double and triple billed unless you can prove you already paid.

I'm glad there are similar weirdos out there.

You're not weird and if you could expand your question to beyond LL I think you'd see that even more.

I don't share ALL of those things with you but a majority.
I don't even OWN a television. Just for example.

Even if you are considered weird, consider yourself special in a very good way.
It's very boring seeing everyone be exactly the same. Even the people that try to be different end up being the same as everyone else who is trying to be different.

I'm me. If it conforms, then it does. If I'm the only one who does/likes something, then so be it. I like what I like.

I used to think I was so weird and it bothered me. I could mingle with different "groups" of people. (Preppy, Goth, Thug-wannabe's, etc) but never "fit in" with any of them. I was just accepted like the rest of them. I felt as though I didn't have anything unique about me - an identity. It was later on that I saw the beauty in that.

I'm not a patriot. -- same!

I don't care about team sports. -- same!

I don't watch tv - mostly same! I'm too busy for tv lately

I don't party - I'm too busy to party as well but I get dragged along to things occasionally

I don't want to be a mother - I love kids but I'm ok either way..

I don't want marriage - I could care less. I don't want or not want marriage.

I don't care about Facebook - Same. I care less about FB than I do about marriage.

I don't date - I avoid dating as much as I can because it's too flakey for me.

I don't have sex - Depends. I'm demisexual so because I'm often not attracted I don't have much sex.

I don't follow any religion - Same.

I'm not into girly stuff - I'm into everything - girly.. boyish .. I don't really care lol

I don't care about degrees - I care a lot about my degree and career.. like a *lot*

I don't sunbathe (the majority of people seem to be obsessed with being tanned, at least in summer) -- I love the beach.. I don't sunbathe for hours but I like lying on the beach occasionally and I love swimming.

I don't favor people related to me over those non-related -- I'm mostly the same on this!

Hmm, does joining a forum mean one is not totally outside the system?

Tv: not much
FB: have an account, mostly b/c I grew tired of losing track of good friends, don't do the whole call/text/hangout thing
Sports teams: occasionally
Family: constantly disappoint so do not really bother with them
Patriotism: found it to be a tool used to manipulate people so have little use for it

Spend most of my time learning new things or polishing acquired skills, think a lot of socialization that happens is of low value.

Not no value as it is good to decompress, low value in the sense nothing productive comes from most of it.

@Pixie
I'm from Europe (I know, vague), why?

@Barbie
Thanks for sharing your irrelevant opinion.

@DeepFreeze
Thank you. I embrace my weirdness, uniqueness, specialness, whatever you call it and what others think doesn't really matter. It would just be nice to have a friend whose weirdness would be compatible with mine I can get along with people from different circles too.

@Ellynlvx
Who is that Daria?

Hello, this is an astrology website And astrology is not something universally approved or practised.

What about trying to find people in your area who share your interests? You could do something productive together and maybe you would become friends in the process.

B/c my interests are not shared by many even in the context of America Cappy, and not in my area

Basically, hipsters, hippies and country folks. I don't use drugs, think vinyl records are a waste of money and bike commute something the country folks look at with a jaundiced eye to say the least:

Country people:

"get outta the rode ya hippy!"

Hipsters:

"you paid how much for a vinyl record, and no, I'm not bicurious"

Hippies:

"I have no idea what Molly is, and no, do not want to try it"

About the only shared interests I have is with foodies, and they use stuff like sweat meats, I'm more of a .99 cent a meal type of fella.
