Your VERY good friend tells you s/he has MAYBE developed feelings for another friend. The moment this sinks in your stomach is in serious panic knots!!

How do you really know if YOU have more than friendly feelings for your friend or just afraid of losing him/her as a friend?

I feel as if I just got slapped in the face and then kicked in belly..

I think it is more about losing the person than it is about love if you didn't notice it until now. But what do I know, I've never experienced it. I usually know within a couple of minutes if I'm interested in someone, and I don't really look back. So to me it makes sense that the idea of losing this person would make you panic and try to hold on because you are confused about your role in this person's life. If you feel insecure about the friendship and the other person's loyalty this could happen.

I don't think there's any way to generalize. You just have to wing it.

Well Charlie, the dirty lil secret is, friends, opposite sex friends, BOTH look at each other as potential lovers

What u are feeling is natural, the real question is, pushing that feeling worth ruining the friendship?

IME it really is not, a dalliance is fun of course, the way it works is then things do get weird
