Wasn't sure where to post this.... So as many of you know DeepFreeze and I got married and instead of getting my engagement ring and wedding band soldered before our wedding day we got it done the Monday after. I just got if back today after not having it for a week and I'm on verge of tears I'm so upset. He spent a lot of money on it and I know I shouldn't get upset about but I feel it's the principal. The band is crocked and not centered correctly with my engagement ring. I feel like they ruined my ring, I know they didn't mean to but come on seriously when someone spends as much as he did I feel it should be treated the same way. What should I do? I don't know if I should just deal with it or send it back and get it done correctly? Anyone else have issues like this? What did you do? What would you do? I feel like I sound like a brat Any feedback would be aaaaamazing. IP: Logged |

They didn't do their job well. It's not unreasonable to send it back to them n tell them to fix it. They can't just send a product that is below the acceptable quality and expect customers to deal with it.

I'm sorry that happened, BG, and I hope this is resolved very quickly I suggest to send it back asap and make them solder it the correct way! Do not settle for this.IP: Logged |

I'm not a woman. I would respectfully suggest that you not place emotions in jewelry. It's the marriage that is far more important. I got married without rings, without a wedding and without a honeymoon. It's 20 years later and we love each other more than ever. I still don't own a wedding ring. She owns a hodgepodge of rings. Sure, there's large canaries and large solitaires and what not, and they collectively can buy more than a large house, but none that you would call a wedding ring. Does it matter? I would send the ring back. Nothing worse than wearing a symbol of your marriage that is not proper. IP: Logged |

I'm definitely not married (not planning on it either lololol), but one of my good friends had something similar happen to them. The company they went with let them turn the ring back in to be fixed without cost, but they had to bring the ring in and state their case.I think it depends on the paperwork that came with the ring: some companies may fix for free or minimal charge, some won't. Either way you pay for the quality of ring, and if their quality of service doesn't match this you have every right to be upset and want it fixed up. I would definitely go in and bring the paperwork to see what can be done. IP: Logged |

Thank you both Muddy and SSS I was worried coming across as a spoiled jerk if we went back and had them redo it again. But with amount of money he spent on them I want it to be just as perfect as it was before we had them solder them tougher. YTA When we were married the minister blessed all of our rings and for me I want nothing but perfect because of that. If they were cheap I wouldn't care but they are not. Our marriage means everything more to me than the rings but it sure as hell is a nice reminder to people who think you're available that you're not. IP: Logged |

I had a libra coworker who also had the same issues and didn't have her ring for her year. Every single time she sent it back they'd send it right back messed up over and over. She cried a lot more than I did lol so I'm proud of myself. We're going right back there bright and early. Thank you

Definitely NOT spoiled, BG! Try not to be timid about stuff like this. When you buy something and it is not what you expect or something is wrong, you should either get your money back or exchange it! You will be so happy in the long run without regrets.IP: Logged |

Oh yeah, that actually reminds me. It has lifetime free cleaning, inspection, repair, lost stones, solder/unsolder, etc. She just can't stand to be without it. So, I kind of stay out of it. It's a matter of what you can live with or without for her. So whatever she wants. I have a feeling we'll be giving it back for fixing. IP: Logged |

Thank you soo sooo much. ❤️ I didn't want to be without for another week but if that's what I have to do to ensure it's right I don't care. I don't know what it is that has me all nerves and feeling spoiled or ungrateful. IP: Logged |

You are so welcome, BG It could be having to go explain to the people who didn't solder it right that has you nervous. When I was your age I was shy and timid about returning anything. I would fret about having to go the night before. I just didn't like hassles back then but now it's nbd I just go and get it over with. Try not to worry about it. You are the customer they need to satisfy you, not you, them!IP: Logged |

Could be. I hate it even the smallest things I just dealt with. This however is really big and very special to me. It's too beautiful to be treated any less. I promise I won't let it bother me. You're so right. Thank you again

You are not spoiled at all to return it. It's important to you. I know it really sucks to have to wait a little longer to have it but it'll be worth it.Really, anyone that works on wedding rings (or rings in general) should either be more careful or be happy to fix something that isn't done correctly. When you pay for something, it should be done right. Shame on them for even allowing subpar craftsmanship.IP: Logged |

Barbie, you don't sound spoilt or ungrateful.Return it. They must fix their darn mess and do it properly! It means a lot to you. It's a symbol of your committment to each other and you'd think they'd understand that when working with wedding bands. Give us an update on how it goes and if they fixed it up properly this time. ------------------ Remember, love can conquer the influences of the planets....It can even eliminate karma. That's terrible!!! You have every right to be upset!!!! 100% justified! How can they not see how important your wedding ring is?? OMG!!! Everytime you look at it you want to see it's beauty because that beauty is a reflection of the love you have together everyday in your life. You certainly don't want to be reminded of how some retarded jeweler didn't do their job every time you look at it! Please send it to be repaired, you deserve the best just as DF meant for you to have. It's considered reassurance of good luck, if the ring has to be taken off, that he is the one to open your ring/box and again places it on your ring finger before you have touched the ring. I completely agree with this. I'm sorry, that must feel really disappointing and frustrating. I hope that they do what you need to have done if you ask them to fix it. IP: Logged |

Definitely. PS Congratulations, Barbie, I just realized this morning that you two tied the knot. As I said to DF on the favoritism thread, best wishes for a long and happy life together. IP: Logged |
