Well sort of.. I actually switched to E-Cigarettes about a week and a half ago and the transition from normal cigarettes has gone smoothly thus far. I went from smoking two packs of camels everyday to the e-cig instantaneously and haven't smoked a single real cigarette since. Its been a good thing for me because i'm already breathing better and i'm not coughing up phlegm in the morning anymore... Food tastes better too! Plus I'll be saving tons of money. If you are a smoker i highly recommend trying the e-cigs if you haven't already.. Switching to e-cigs has been the best decision I have made in my life thus far. IP: Logged |

Woooohhhtt! Yep, I smoke (outside, obviously). Like a pack a day, as I often stay up late and chain smoke. When I quit smoking I used lozenges and the e-cigarette in combination (although first I had to cut back my cigarettes), but yeah...the e-cigarettes are awesome. Disclaimer: I quit smoking long before I got pregnant, and didn't start up again until about three months after I had my son. For the record. Excellent job, AG! Doux and I will (hopefully) be joining you. Also for the record...I smoke organic American Spirits, but my lungs still don't appreciate it. IP: Logged |

Cool! Oddly enough have a stack of 20-30 e cigs w/chargers etc, from a gift company that got them as returns and refunded the money but could not then resell them Glad to hear they work IP: Logged |

Good news, AG. Vi,
I barely smoke anymore. Now it's your turn to quit! Or cut down at least. You can do it! (woman ) IP: Logged |

Just wait until you quit for a few years you will be particularly sensitive to the odor of stale cigarette smoke. I smoked only as a teen, gave it up because my lungs hurt every time I laughed so bye-bye Marlboro Light 100s. Now whenever there's the odor of stale smoke I get a slight headache and my throat hurts. Cigarettes always gave me that poisoned feeling except when I first smoked them then it was kind of elating. I just cannot handle most stuff, even food. I had to give up majority starches and processed sugar. It means no more potatoes, bread, or sweets although I do have one slice of bread and one dessert on Sunday only. I appreciate them more, don't take them for granted. They even have more flavor this way. I savor them more. Now, I feel like thoughts just flow to me in the crystal clear instead of wading through mushy brain matter to capture a thought with a net. I am at a high risk for developing diabetes. IP: Logged |

Congrats!I'm trying to quit too! Can anyone recommend an ecig brand? I have one but it was cheap and seems to have stopped working. It also gave me headaches but that may have been due to the fact that the juice was so high in nicotine IP: Logged |

I don't like coffee, but I drank it yesterday evening, to see if it would give me the energy I needed to get things done in the kitchen, the garden, and around the house. Boy, did it! I didn't get to sleep until gone 6am.

The E-Cig ended up being a lifesaver for me. This past week I was doing a special assignment for work out of town and I ended up working over 70 hours. The place I was working at doesn't allow smoking and I would have probably lost my temper and hit someone if I didn't have my nicotine. The whole week was incredibly stressful and I dealt with tons of idiots but luckily I was able to go to the bathroom every few hours and take a few puffs of the e-cig and it calmed me down. That's another good thing about e-cigs, you can smoke them anywhere and nobody will ever know it if they don't see ya! The vapor disappears instantly and doesn't leave a strong smell like real cigs.IP: Logged |

I know what you mean. When I worked at the women's homeless shelter, it was an 11-hour overnight shift...and we could not leave the building. Period. We weren't even allowed to step outside for a smoke. It's a good thing I was in the process of quitting when I started that job, because e-cigarettes and lozenges also literally saved me from being a raving b*tch amongst a bunch of women with serious problems (and behavioral issues that would test the patience of a saint). Hell yeah, AG! Good job, man. IP: Logged |

Update: Last night I decided to smoke a regular cigarette to see what it would be like after going a few weeks without smoking one and I hated it. It was weird and I can't believe I enjoyed smoking those dang things. So glad I switched to E-cigs.IP: Logged |

I got my e-cig in the mail yesterday, and I'm smoking it now! I like them because e-cigs are so much cleaner than real cigs. It gives you the nicotine hit, and the sensation of smoking, without the 'dirty' tobacco hit. Such a difference!!! I had a 13-hour flight a couple of months back, but I didn't have an ecig back then, and just wore the patch. It was torture! Even though ecig smoking is technically banned from airplanes, it doesn't set off smoke alarms and leaves no smell so I'm sure I could puff away in the bathroom and no one would know.
