which is actually a very interesting question... I really like Voix de la Mer's take on it. Stage 3 seems to be the most... "concrete," so to speak: A fertilized ovum = conception. But then there's also stage 7, which is even more concrete... The embryo implants in the uterine lining. I really don't know about the soul, however. Are "soul" and "life" separate? I was raped by a good Christian relative when I was 9 years old.
I had already begun my menstrual cycles.
I find it utterly disgusting and heartless that holier than thou Christians believe I was blessed by god or some bullshite and meant to carry an incestuous rape pregnancy to term at the age of 9 years old!
Fortunately I only missed a few periods before the results of rape were purged from my young body.
I have also known too many Christians to be beyond vile when it comes to unwanted pregnancy children. More are like this following example than true loving ones.
In my area it is very "Bible Beltish".
The right to lifers even protest the Planned Parenthood.
I have gone up to these protesters and asked
if they would adopt the unwanted children. Answers range from..
no...its black...
to even...
no way would I want to adopt a crack smoking sl-t's ba$tard brat ! That's what foster care is for you "blank(insert racial slur) lover!
Uh huh.
These narrow minded bigots think scaring teens with Bible quotes will stop them from having sex.
Sex ed has been protested too and hobbled.
And STD's and pregnancy are on the rise.
Teens who use to go to Planned Parenthood and or free clinics for condoms are afraid to now. The holier than thou would harrass and or assault them 
PS. Oddly the protesters I have encountered are all white Christians. If their kids mess up they secretly "take care of the "problem"..
what a bunch of hypocrites!

Isn't that the point of non-believer toots? Lexx I'm very sorry for the pain you've had to endure, but it's not okay to ever judge and assume that all Christian people, people period are like that? I DID NOT SAY ALL CHRISTIANS ARE LIKE THAT.

Anyways like I said earlier I'm very sorry for all of the pain you had to endure.  I'd cut off all of the pricks of those ******** . My heart goes out for you Lexi, you have experienced many pains in this life and you also have great spiritual wisdom too. You are a very strong person for being able to endure all of this. I think it's sickening that some people will condemn you for getting an abortion in cases like this. It shows how the "love everyone" is just a facade to cover delusion and overzealousness. And I agree about a lot of Christians not giving a **** about the foster care children, how hypocritical that those people were racist and vile but force women to go through pregnancies because "it's a gift from god and full of blessing and love"

It was a nightmare no child should have to endure.
Thank you for seeing where I was coming from.
No one has a right to judge who has not walked in my shoes.
And yes,
I wish it were not so,
but I have personally encountered in real life,
more nasty Christians when it comes to unwanted pregnancies than understanding compassionate ones.
It is not my fault that is how it has been.
