No. People grow through both pain and healing, without having one more than the other. If it is unbalanced, someone with too much pain may just become cynical, and someone with too much comfort, happiness and healing may just become too naive or self-indulgent.
Pain and its contrary are both needed to evolve.

of course.

That's why humanity is full of pain, because God wants us to grow and overcome the most painful things, and become stronger and wiser than we would be if we never would of had pain at all.

You have to overcome the pain, learn from it, and then go and help others who are dealing with the stuff you did, so the whole earth can be healed one day.

Thats what Chiron is all about.

As per Lexx's DNA thread, I feel we not only can grow without pain but we often do. All input is valuable. Is anyone totally pain free? Unlikely but many learn more from positive input than from bashing our heads against brickwalls.

Pain is one way to accelerate growth. Perhaps, that is why there is so much pain in the world.
