It means a lot to me because I can always hear my dad saying this to me (and as you know, he can no longer speak very well). At the same time, it's meaningful to me because it's one of the proverbs that I remember as letting go of people is what I've had to accept throughout my life; and not a damn thing has changed lol. Whenever I am going through something rough, I always remind myself that it won't be forever & when I'm going through good times I remember that it won't last forever so I enjoy every moment. It might seem forceful, but I didn't interpret it that way. It was incredibly comforting to know that another person could see my own inner strength, that they could see a light at the end of the tunnel, even when I couldn't. To be reminded that I had everything I needed to survive that situation, no matter what my over-thinking brain was trying to tell me.
