I was thinking about this as I look at a couple in my family. You get soo entrenched in your own beliefs and your own lens that you cannot see reality beyond the blinders, like a literal horse with blinders. I realize that I don't want to be a victim and was wondering how I could help myself not be. Any ideas? ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? A good way is to look at others who have it worse than you. Realizing that it isn't as bad as it seems really helps to remove your self from the situation and look at the entire picture. As bad as life can be, someone out there has it worse. And that person may need your help. Nothing fixes your own problems like helping someone else with theirs. Something that also helps me is looking at Jesus' life. The entire time he was being physically harmed he never once said anything to those who were hurting him. He kept sending them love. He didn't see himself as a victim and sent love to his oppressors and in the end won. IP: Logged |

Try to respond, not react.Someone I really love tries to push my buttons.Every time he does, I tell myself it is a time to teach myself to respond, not react. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

When I saw what you wrote a hummingbird flew up to the window. Hummingbirds mean harmony. So maybe the best thing to do in these situations is to be peaceful and maintain harmony. IP: Logged |
