Not sure if this is the right place to discuss this but I am very upset!

My sister and her husband went to see a psychic, due to some tragic circumstances.

I talked on the phone w/ my sister today. She was acting weird "how's your relationship going?" I really think that's a rude question to you know have to question it I guess... Anyways she finally told me something. Apparently her husbands dead grandmother "communicated" that I would be very disappointed in my boyfriend and that it would be a hard pill for me to swallow. And that's all they said. My sister said that she did not ask about me. Or anything else.
And I clearly did not ask or consent to my future being told.
It's very upsetting and vague. I really do not appreciate it.
What are your views on this?

It sounds like a generic statement the psychic used to connect with your sister honestly.

Thank you!! Yeah I'm just like that's vague! And at first you think the worst but that can mean so many things!
I told my atheist boyfriend and he said "no **** " and basically told me of course that's gonna come true, just like predicting that I'll be very happy in the future.

Yeah I get very happy and disappointed. It's life, and it's nothing new. I have not been interested in phychics in a long time. Show no interest when my sister expresses wanting to visit them. If she wants to be annoying and see one that's fine. But to get me into something I didn't ask for... the psychics did not pick up on that I DON'T WANT MY FUTURE PREDICTED BY A PSYCHIC! My sister regretted sharing with me. I pretty much told her "how would you like that if someone said that about your marriage? It could happen to you" and really got to see I'm not on board with this psychic crap.

I'm not saying that phychis are phony. I do believe phony ones exists. And for a phychic to make vague upsetting statements about people, and talk to the dead. Doesn't seem like one who is using her ability for good.

I get that I can't stop people I care about from seeing them. But people and psychics have to realize that people paying to see the phychics are really the only ones who consent to their future being told. And that people who see these phychics can be very annoying and rude to people.
