I've decided not to hide any more. To some, or even most (I have no idea), I'm not really hidden. Some could tell because apparently I'm unique or have a unique energy, so I'm told. Plus some unique astrological placements.
I'm sure there will be some consequences for this and I'm prepared for any and all of them.

I am (was) DeepFreeze / Zander916.
*waves to those who I know who will come in to harass me with "I KNEW IT!" *

The timing of my name change was very bad as far as a few personal friendships, etc. It looked bad and I understood that.

Let me explain.

You know how a reputation can follow a person?
We become known for certain things. When others see us, they expect those things. I was known for fighting. It was so bad that even if I wanted to avoid fighting it was as though others were expecting it, and initiating it. Not on purpose, but if someone walked by you every day and smacked you across the face. Pretty soon you might put your hand up no matter what, just because they are walking by. (Or slap the crap out of them. lol ) You get my point. It's really the fault of the person who keeps slapping the other, but even if they decide not to any more. The other has that pattern wired into their brain now. Whenever "slappy" is around, hands up!
Well, I didn't want to fight. I DON'T want to fight.
Because of a reputation that I built, we all suffered. I felt trapped within it. I enjoy (enjoyed) the site outside of that. This seemed to be the only possible way to keep enjoying the site while trying to change. I wanted to change.
I don't know if I'll be posting a lot. I've enjoyed the time away. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. (If I'm allowed) I've decided to officially be known at least and hopefully to be able to keep enjoying the site, without the mess.

I understand completely. I can usually tell, so I don't know why I didn't pick up on who you were, until someone else mentioned it. I've never bothered with a new name, because I thought that people would know who I was, and I also didn't want to be accused of screwing with people.

I don`t think I ever knew you as Zander but your energy signature told me you were DeepFreeze.

Not the fighting energy you speak of but the good man hiding behind it.

Fighting is fruitless and I wish you all the best in turning it around into a positive influence.

Yeeeah!! I could tell from pretty early on (we both know I've hinted at knowing! I'm a Gemini after all; I like to play! Can you blame me!? ). There was something familiar about your presence; that's what gave you away.

I believe in taking ownership for ones actions. Sweet peas is supposed to be a place where members can feel safe expressing their troubles. Sometimes, people don't explicitly ask for help because they haven't identified what they need help with, but I think we innately know when something is wrong. Sometimes, all we need is someone to listen and hear. Unfortunately, few places exist where free expression is void of judgement. When harsh judgement is present it breeds defensiveness and contempt and our message is never heard. It's understandable that you were compelled to conceal your identity. The truth is we all do things we want to make excuses and blame others for, but all we get from that is a false sense of security. The worst thing people can do is delude themselves. The reason I'm mentioning these things is because I hear a lot of judgement (of yourself) in your post. I also hear remorse, frustration, and disappointment. You've made some mistakes, got on some people's nerves, made some frenemies... So what! Don't be so hard on yourself. You're obviously well aware of your contribution to your past. The hardest thing to do is assume responsibility and forgive yourself. You don't have to justify or explain anything.

I commend your efforts. Welcome back!

Already knew it was you.

There shouldn't be any problems and don't dwell on it too much. That was the past.

I can relate to this. I've noticed that since I quit ranting about how much life sucks, women suck etc. I get less responses. I've made a number of positive threads that didnt get off the first page, but when I used to b*tch about my situation there would be 50 responses within the hour. It is almost as if people prefer arguing with an angry, brooding, and misogynistic AG rather than having a positive discussion with the new me. I think a lot of people just genuinely love drama. Bottom line

Totally true, AG, but they would never admit it

Totally not true. When someone posts something divisive (that they know to be divisive), it's obvious that more people are going to jump in to discount it. I say that as someone who's responded to AG's positive threads - more than the negative ones.

I didn't know for sure. I remember a couple times reading some of the posts that you made with this name that you seemed SO familiar, but I just couldn't put my finger on why.

I'm glad you're here. You were always a friend to me and I valued your input on things.

Welcome back
