my mom had some dental work done a few weeks ago and the dentist's hand slipped and he accidentally broke one of her teeth (or maybe a crown, i'm not sure which) and it became infected. we were in the process of getting ready to move and she could not get back to the dentist.she could barely stand to eat, because it hurt so bad to chew. she was eating pudding and soft foods, etc, and being in a lot of pain. it didn't seem to be getting any better until my dad had the idea to have her keep his purple plate in her pocket. now the infection is gone and she can eat normal food again, and doesn't complain of it hurting anymore.
