Hello Eternalskies -

Love your nic!

Have you tried acupuncture? I have a friend with knee trouble who swears by it. Like anything - you need to find someone reputable.

Hi Eternal......first of all quit jogging. Stop jogging for minimum three months, walk instead. This is from someone that shattered her kneecap! It takes the knee a good while to heal because it is a tiny joint in comparison to the entire weight of our bodies. Or use an elliptical crosstrainer to achieve good cardio results. Apply ice at the end of your day and if the pain becomes unbearable, add a little naproxen (Alleve) or Ibuprofen (Motrin) to your regimen. Whatever the package says is the acceptable dose, you can safely double it for better relief. Prescription strength of both drugs are 3 to 4 times the over-the-counter dosing, so it is safe to double.
Take good care of your knees!!!
Light and Healing to you
P.S. Accupunture is MAAAARVELOUS!!! I have tried it and it is the BOMB!!! Good idea Hopeful!!!

At least your doc didn't try to force surgery on you. Sounds like a good doc to me.

Wow, La-Tee-Da, you are amazing! I am glad you have started venturing out of the Lexigram forum!

eternalskies6, welcome to Lindaland! And I too love your nic!

Going by the testimonials of Hopeful and La-Tee-Da, Acupuncture does sound promising. I too have heard a lot of praise about it, although I haven't experienced it directly.

I would be sending long-distance healing to you, and am sure it will help.

Do you worry a lot about your future? I also had knee pain a few years back, and yes, I used to be anxious about the future. Maybe it sounds funny to you right now, but it is a fact that all dis-ease has roots in our thoughts and emotions. Fear and anxiety are what lead to knee problems.

So, while you treat the dis-ease with traditional or alternative modalities, do also work on your thoughts. Looking forward into the future, Life may sometimes look bleak, but it is rare that we reach a complete dead-end. Even if our future does turn out to be what we feared, there are often ways to get out of it. And sometimes, the Uni-verse leads us down a path we are actually afraid of. While we may struggle a lot during the journey, at some point in time, we come to see a "bend in the path" which leads us to joy. It has happened with me often, and I have finally come to an undertanding that I need not worry about how my future will turn out to be. I will just try to walk down the path I want to, and if the Uni-verse forces me onto another, so be it ~ there must be a reason, a purpose for it.

So relax, and don't struggle too much against the path you are being led on to. If it becomes clear that you are being led down that path inspite of your best efforts, then KNOW that it is because there is something on that path which will serve you in your growth. Let go; walk forward, lightly. Don't lock up your knee.

Sorry if the last few words sounded rude. I normally wouldn't have used them, but they just 'came' to me as I was writing to you, and I went ahead with them, trusting my intuition.

Much love and support to you on your journey!

What Elohim said makes a lot of sense. I, too, agree that dis-ease is often rooted in our thoughts. Think back to any fear that you had to encounter. Was it ever as bad as you thought it would be?

Elohim Absolute truth in what you posted!!! Louise Hay is a brilliant authoress on the subject(You Can Heal Your Life). At the time I shattered my kneecap, I was definitely worried about my future and totally fighting the inevitable!!! The shattered kneecap forced me to sit still and think...ALOT!!!
You are brilliant to think of this!!!
to you!!!

Do get Louise Hay's book "You Can Heal Your Life" at the library.....tells you about all body parts and why the illness is there!!
