I've learned many amazing things from Linda's books, and have shared these and the books with anyone who is open! Actually, I should say that the books "reminded" me of my own inner-knowing and the power of S-elf.

I've recently reminded a friend of his ability to heal himself with his powerful mind when he was experiencing some ill health, and he thanked me for that.

Out of curiousity, what do you think about the disease Cancer, and why it manifests in so many people?

Welcome to Lindaland, Taurus!

Firstly, let me say that CARCINOGEN contains within it NO CANCER. So, what causes cancer? Why do so many truly selfless people seem to get such a painful dis-ease? We have a resident Healer here in Lindaland named Elohim. Here are his words:

quote:
Every dis-ease has its origins in our thoughts and emotions. Cancer is caused by untempered giving, i.e., the person keeps on 'giving' to others, sacrificing for them, without asking for anything in return. This unrestrained giving at the emotional level percolates down to the physical level, and if not balanced in time, ultimately manifests as Cancer, where the body's cells multiply in an "unrestrained" way.

Thanks Randall for sharing. I am of the same belief. I ask because there are so many people I am close to / or know, that have cancer, and we're beat by it. I often feel alone in my beliefs, and it's good to share!

I also believe in the power of the mind, the spirit, and the Self

Cancer has taken many of my family members as well. It always seems to take the best and brightest.

TaurusKwe, Randall ~ I am so sorry to hear of your losses due to cancer.

But no one really dies, do they? Those whom you lost are either at peace now in the astral realm, or have already returned to this (earthly) plane for further growth. And I am sure this time around they will Master the lesson of cancer.

Apart from what I said earlier about cancer (which Randall has quoted on this string), there is something more I want to share. There is atleast one type of cancer which has other or additional mental-emotional causes. It is Leukemia (blood cancer). In this dis-ease, the white blood cells multiply in an unrestrained way, and eliminate even the healthy cells in the body.

According to a learned person I know, Leukemia is caused by the person rejecting *everyone* they know, even their immediate family and thems-elves. Well, on the physical level, when the body detects any potentially harmful foreign cells in the body, it "rejects" them, and sends the white blood cells to eliminate them. Keeping this in mind, the above statement made about the cause of Leukemia makes a lot of sense. Repeated mental-emotional rejection of *everyone* by the person, over a sufficient length of time, causes the body to eventually reject *every cell*, and this causes the unchecked production of white blood cells.

I wish someday we spiral into an easy way of overcoming cancer. It must be possible.

Reiki has been known to cure cancer. The father of one of my friends was diagnosed as having Leukemia. Luckily, it was detected in the early stages. That person took Reiki healing from a professional healer, and was soon cured.

I suggest we try to lexigram some phrase related to cancer, such as "cancer" itself, or "cancer's lesson" to find an answer about what changes to make at the mental-emotional level, to recover from this dis-ease.

What Elohim said about leukemia rings true to me, but not in every case. I think some cases are chosen for a Higher purpose--as in when young children experience it. I think they chose the experience before birth in order to do some selfless act for their parents and others. The fatal sickness of a child is sad, but it brings people together like nothing else. The children are almost like little Angels (and don't fit the rejection hypothesis at all).

True, Randall. That's certainly something to think (and spiral) about!

Elohim, have you ever seen the charity specials about children with leukemia (or any other fatal dis-ease)? These children are so special, so brave, and so accepting. They enjoy every second of Life and bring the rest of their families together. Through their illnesses, they teach all of us how to Live.

Randall, I saw your question today only.

I love doing lexigrams, but can take out time for them only on weekends ~ and that too not all weekends!

I finally did a lexigram on Cancer this weekend, and have started a new string for it.
