Hi
Has anyone read a book called "You are all Sanpuku"? I don't have it with me so the spelling may be wrong. Has anyone tried the brown rice diet & with what results?

Hello, Beverley. About that diet you mention, what's the purpose you wanna reach? A lower weight? A kiss.

Hi Guys
Sorry my sense of humour had to creep in here, yes if the result was "a kiss" that would be nice! No seriously, for the immediate, quick weight loss yes, and then a whole new way of eating.
Cheers

Beverley, why don't you try with Linda's cromatic diet. At least it's exciting to read from her that, after two months, you won't need another diet any more.

Hello, Beverley. I would like to know about your opinion. Ar you going to attempt with Linda's diet? I'm making an inquiry on the results of it. If you don't mind, please let me know what you've gotten. It would be a help for anyone needing to get a lower weight. Here, I have two women working on their weights. Any help I can offer, just tell me, any time, ok? Thanks.

Hi Guys
Thanx for your replies.
Moonshadow, thanx for the info, but I already have the book.
Bases loaded, no I'm going to do the brown rice diet and see how it goes. It's only supposed to be for 10 days and I'm starting on Monday, so I'll let you know how it goes. Personally I NEVER do the diet thing, preferring exercise and sensible eating myself, but thought I'd give this a try as it's for such a short time. I feel VERY STRONGLY about dieting without exercise. I have been involved with competitive and recreational sport for about twenty years, so if Im not speaking out of turn please tell your ladies to add exercise to their diet if they aren't already. I don't PERSONALLY agree with aerobics as a weight loss programme feeling that it's too high intensity for too short a time. They should exercise for NOT LESS than 40 minutes (cardio) at a time and they can regulate the intensity very easily by ensuring that while they are doing the aerobic portion (cycling, walking, swimming)of the programme they should still be able to hold a conversation. Also if they can add some weight training at the end of the cardio session this will also assist with weight loss, as muscle helps to burn fat. Finally they should try not to eat for 2 hours prior to training and make sure to replace fluids. Be careful of sports drinks as many of these contain sugar and defeat the object. I hope you don't think I'm interfering, just trying to help.

Ok, Beverly, just tell me (or us) what will happen after those ten days you say. No more diet and exercise? Is the new weight kept for longer? The ladies want to know.

Hi
After the ten days I will not be doing just the brown rice anymore, but I NEVER stop the exercise. Personal circumstances have made me put on weight recently, but these are set to change this week and I want to kick start my body with the diet to begin the process of losing weight. Generally I don't diet, preferring to exercise instead, but as you get older your metabolism slows down anyway so the exercise you do in your twenties is not enough later on especially after you are 35. Generally how I regulate my food is that from Monday to Friday I have lots of fruit and vegetables and NO JUNK FOOD & fat free EVERYTHING. My problem is chocolates, so I don't have any during the week and then on Saturday & Sunday i eat whatever I like within reason of course, otherwise you spend the week making up for the weekend. As frustrating as it is your ladies should aim to only lose 1kg a week as a slow weight loss ensures that the weight stays off. Also as far as the exercise goes, they should exercise AT LEAST 3 times a week. The secret of exercise is to keep up with it. The hardest part is starting, but once you force yourself to get into a routine it's easy. Try and make it the same time every day, so that you know that you put aside that time for yourself every day. Also be careful of dairy products as many of them are very high in fat. Women need the calcium etc in milk, but I drink only FAT FREE milk, not even 2%. Anyway I could go on and on about diet and exercise, but don't want to bore you. By the way I am speaking from personal experience as I previously lost 40kg with exercise and restricting my eating as I mentioned from Monday to Friday. Anyway anything specific you want to know just let me know. The saying I use to motivate myself is that I had all the fun putting the weight on, so I can't expect also to have fun taking it off! Also if your ladies are feeling disgruntled about the amount of time it is taking to get rid of the weight - ask them to remember how long it took to put it ON! It didn't come on over night, so they shouldn't expect it to come off overnight!
Luv

I have a brilliant idea. You don't have to eat at all! There will be a side effect, you will die - if you can manage that then no problem.

Hi Guys
Thanx, Raj's post really upset me 'cos I thought it was so unnecessary! Anyway let's let it go now ok?
Lulla (what a sweet name)
I'm not sure if it's the same thing but on page 225 of "Star Signs" Linda tells about a colour diet. Maybe that's what you are thinking of?
Bases Loaded(felt the kiss on my cheek!!)
Thanx I would like to continue communicating with you. Here's your piece of motivation for today:- Remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so it's possible when you start working out that you will put on weight before you lose it. Just don't let this discourage you. Also try not to weigh yourselves more than once a week.
Have a good day.

Hello, Lulla Mary, Hello, Beverly, you're right, the chromatic diet is in Star Signs. I don't tell you the exact page because my book is in Spanish and may be some different. Anyway, it's an interesting diet, very easy-to-do and delays only two months or less.
By the way, Beverly, how many kisses would you accept from me? I don't want you get angry. I hope I can kiss your cheek, someday, literally -at least your hand-, if you don't mind. While that day is coming, accept this kiss too, and warn when your cheek is full of me. No embarrassment, ok?

Morning All
What a GREAT post this is turning out to be!
Bases Loaded I don't think it's possible to have too many kisses, so send as many as you like, I love kisses.
Tell me more about what you and your ladies are doing?

Hello, Beverly. What the ladies are doing just started. The results aren't ready, but they are really happy. That's important, because a positive mind is the best help in this treatment. Our brain has to be cleaned; those concepts taught about the calories are really hurtful.
Perhaps you take this diet later, who knows?
About me, I don't need the diet; I am average. Now I'm attending to a gym. Lifting weights (not to be "Mr. Universe" or the new world champion) is my hobby, with baseball. What is/are yours?
Here's my kiss. No, receive two kisses, one on each cheek.

Hi
I read that diet in Star Signs and thought I might like to give it a try, but I need to be in a different place mentally & emotionally before I do, otherwise I won't do it justice. So not now.
I also go to gym, but my passion is triathlons, however i got hit by a bus when I was out training on my bike so that ended my triathlon career.
My other passion is motor sport, F1 cars and Superbikes. Am trying to put together enough money to buy my own bike. This isn't happening very well though, there always seems to be something else that need paying for! Anyway Im a Taurus so tenacity I think is one of my traits & Im going to MAKE THIS HAPPEN! I was hoping it would be this year but it doesn't look like it.
Are you the personal trainer for these ladies?
Anyway as you are 7 hours behind us I guess I won't speak to you again today, so have a nice weekend.

Hello Everyone.

I am sorry, I have not been to this string in a long time (since I thought I could not contribute to it), and so didn't see Raj's post.

Thank you for your patience. In the past, Raj has been a source of great ideas and Light, but recently it seems that he is going through a tough phase. That would explain some confused (insensitive) posts.

But of course, be assured that nobody will be allowed to delibrately hurt knowflakes. If there are more posts which are highly offensive, they will be deleted. Lindaland is a place of Love, and all attempts will be made to keep it that way, even if we have to edit/ delete some posts.

All the best to all of you on this string, in your attempt at this diet.! I am sure many other knowflakes are lurking around, learning from you!

He he beverley it is funny you are upset - Linda never spoke about any cromatic diet in any of her books except in Star Signs, where she gave instructions on how to gain and lose weight. It is the 'cromatic diet' you are referring to. Here is one point which Linda said: There are a variety of cromatic diets available - one has to be careful when choosing one - it is like taking the wrong prescription for a dis-ease - you may even die.

Hello, Raj. I would like to know where that quote from Star Signs is. Linda says something about hypertension and heart disease, and red color could be bad for that. However, she also shows the diet isn't generally dangerous for anyone.

Bases Loaded, if you want to continue communicating with me find another way to do it, this post has been spoilt now by unwelcome visitors.
