Hi Leaha Welcome to the forum I think you will like it here. May I ask which part of your life and self you don’t feel happy or in control? Maybe we could start from there. From what I know Bulimia is part of a symptom of whatever is going on in your life and maybe we can help you a little bit more if we have your date of birth. Muse1

This will sound really odd but, I know someone who had a problem with that, and something they would do to stop themselves is to take a medication after their meal, so that they didn't want to throw it up, because you don't want to lose the medication. Also, to eat things that would be less pleasant than other thingsfor instance, ice cream is not too awful they say, but tortilla chips would be awful! These are obviously not dealing with the root of the problem, but until you get there, they may help for the moment, which is sometimes all you can do, which is better than nothing. BTW I am praying for you!!------------------ Food is the only art that nourishes! IP: Logged |

I'm a recovering anorexic with bulemic tendancies...I've been "recovered" for about 8 years now.I have some chart placements that indicate preoccupation with heathful eating and also the tendacy to be a perfectionist. Only thing I know is that it's something I will always have no matter how many years I stay "recovered"....not a day goes by that i don't think about what I eat...body image...I guess I just have a better "handle" on it. I'm Bulimic as well, Over 7 years, pretty much everyday....I don't know how to stop either, and it's completly out of control..I know the deepest root is self-love and acceptance....Bulima has served me for so long ( or have I been serving it?) I'm almost scared to give it up, but I hate how it makes me feel....BLEZZINGs Sher bear XoXoIP: Logged |
