Two of my friends from school are getting married within a month of each other and I want to buy a dress to wear, but if it weren’t bad enough that my legs are blinding white, they also bruise really easily. I always end up with bruises all over them and I never have any idea what I have done. I really want to wear a dress or skirt so id like to know if anyone knows of anything that help bruising, or will stop me bruising so easily? Thank you!

This is an easy one. You are likely to be marginally deficient in vitamin C. Start taking at least 1000 MG a day, preferably with bioflavanoids.

Try a bit of fake tan or there is a new thing (not sure what its called) where you go to a beauty place and they spray on a tan. It looks really natural and makes you feel confident to show off your legs. I'm sure there is somewhere in the city or nearby that would have it. I used to live near liverpool but I cant remeber the name of the beauty therapist I went to!! I have found the best fake tans (that u get at the chemist) are the spay on ones. Just make sure you test it out before the big day so you know how much to use etc.

I read on a website that banana skins if they are held over a bruise for I think 30 minutes that can help. Here in New Zealand a product was developed called Natural Glow that you lightly brush on your skin and it can seem you have a tan. A word of caution though go lightly with the brush and use natural light.

yousay: yeah we have that product here in Australia 2. Welcome to linda land and thanx for your reply!

I think i would prefer not to use a fake tan, im really pale so it just looks odd.

So i might look into the vitamin c, and the banana skins.

Thanx everyone!!!

Also I heard about a cold spoon (like one you stick in the freezer) is good for a bruise. I do hope you are careful!

It's not normal to bruise easily, and almost always it is related to vitamin C.

G'Day Jjjax

I'm in exactly the same boat - I bruise so easily and it is all because I stress so much - which depletes the storages of vitamin B12 in my body.
I would suggest that you start taking a B12/Folate or B-Complex.

As for the white legs - who gives a stuff?! Look at Nicole Kidman - she is as white as a ghost and never worries about it! Give the fake tan a miss - terrible stuff full of chemicals... just embrace and accept who you are!

Hope this helps - have a great time

Folic acid will help, too. Don't be too concerned about white legs. All the guys I know like that.

They're everywhere! I like a light tan or no tan. Dark tans don't float my boat.

OOH GOSH

I WOULD HOPE THAT SOMEONE WHO BRUISES THAT EASILY WOULD SEE A DR. AND GET SOME BLOOD WORK DRAWN. IT COULD MEAN A BLEEDING DISORDER, TOO MUCH ASPIRIN PRODUCT OR USE OF CERTAIN MEDICINES SUCH AS PREDNISONE OR STEROIDS. IT COULD MEAN ALOT OF THINGS SO HOPEFULLY BEFORE TAKING ANY ADVICE ONE WOULD SEE A MEDICAL DOCTOR. JUST A LITTLE INPUT.

It can also be poor circulation, which i hear exercise is good for. But yeah, things that are oddly troublesome are definitely worth getting checked. No one knows our bodies better than we do...

Calm down!

Im positive its nothing bad. I give blood regulary so if there was something wrong there i would know about it. I dont take any medication, i rarely even take asprin, i only do that if nothing natural works. I excerise regulary, but i do think it could have something to do with my circulation... i often have really cold hands and stuff like that.

I think the real problem is that im damn clumsy and i should stop running into so many things. I appretiate everyones concern. Thanx!

Do you smoke? If so, that can affect circulation to hands and feet. Try some vitamin E.
