For about 24 hours before rain comes I used to have a little niggling soreness in my legs and shoulders. That was fine, nothing to jump up and down about. About a year ago when I was visiting my parents we had a change in the weather and I was in agony. I felt like I had been lifting bricks, my shoulders and elbows were in agony and I couldn't sleep. Now (especially tonight ) before we get rain (about 20 hours or so before) my calves ache, elbows, neck and shoulders. It feels like I have arthritis or something and when I went to the Dictator (DR) he brushed me off

Anyone else go through this or have any remedies? It's getting really annoying.

I am even more reliable than the weather man

RRR that is so wierd. I know that used to happen to my grandmother and it happens to people especially after they have broken some bones.

Do you get adequate calcium & magnesium?

Hi Ruby!

Was following an astrology thread and noticed talk about progressed moons... and I remembered your thread here. This was mentioned:

quote:
From Carol Rushman's book..."The Art of Predictive Astrology"... "The progressed moon is not well placed in Capricorn. This is not a wonderful time emotionally. You can feel lonely, isolated or duty-bound. Ambition is the great ruler of Capricorn and the 10th house, so you can become more career-oriented.

You are better able to define a goal, go after it, and make great strides. Frequently, there are changes in business or profession. You can become entrepreneurial and set up your own business, or get into more important work, or raise your position in the corporate structure.

Whatever your goals, you work towards them in a practical, systematic way. Carefulness and thoughtfulness mark your behaviour, and you can become very responsible with money. Recognition, fame, status and position are high on your list of priorities.

I have noticed that many of our world leaders have their natal moon in Capricorn, and many U.S presidents have had their progressed moon in the tenth house when they were elected.

Health problems revolve around the skin, teeth, bones, and nails. Bones start to ache when it's going to rain outside. Dental problems should be immediately attended to so they don't get worse.

The skin seems to be mch more sensitive. For an adolescent, the progressed moon in Capricorn can mean the onset of acne. This is particularly true if the person has the moon square Saturn natally or Venus square Saturn natally ( or even a soft aspect between these planets ) . If the progressed moon sets off one of these aspects, that can be when the acne starts.

The affairs of the house natal Saturn occupies and the natal Capricorn house are key to delineating the progressed moon in Capricorn".
~ Carol Rushman

Anyhow I thought you might be interested. How's the sensitivity to rain going, by the way? Did supplements help at all?

wow Lunargirl thats some awsome info

I did get some supplements but had to take them back due to product recall. The company (Pan) that supplied about 80% of all supplements in Australia (!) were found to be negligent in their manufacturning process and everything they produced was recalled. I have been trying to get adequate intake of everything I need in the food/drink I consume until it all blows over. They say it's the biggest medical facade in Aus since HRT..

Funnily though, we have just hit winter and are having quite a bit of rainfall and it hasn't been happening. It seems to me it is only a spring/summer time problem I will keep you posted though!!

Hope it helps, or is good food for thought!

Funny, lots of Aussie stuff happening -- read about that Anglican child-abuser forced out of politics there, and that recent hijacking attempt foiled by an ex-military Canuck! And en route to Tasmania, right? Guess every country gets its challenges, and needs to clean up its act... gourd knows Canada has its hands full these days with SARS, West Nile disease, Mad Cow disease, and our Prime Minister Chrétien's Foot-In-Mouth disease!

RRR, I feel for you! I also get horrible, excruciating pains before weather changes. I think it is the shift in barometric pressure that causes the pain. Sometimes I am bedridden from pain in my hip, hands, arms and neck. I have been taking the Calcium/Mag supplements and am praying that they work.

I could send you some if you want. I know packages that I send to Australia take 6 weeks to get there...by then you will have forgotten that you ache!!! Just let me know.

Healing lite to you both! I suffer from the same malady with pins in my ankle. It can be as severe as yours LTD and cripples me at times. I take supplements ect. too, but not much works. I think it`s because of the metal in me . I am grateful for the pins tho, without them I would have not walked.

Drs tell me it is the barometric pressure that can be so intense with swift changes here in the Great Lakes area.

The only thing that helps me is an affirmation of mine "at least I can walk" simple but effective.

Hi RRR,

I have a problem with sore joints all the time, particularly in my hands due to the amount of typing that I do.

I started taking a supplement called MSM that I get from the local health food store. You have to take it on a regular basis but it has really helped me and has done wonders for a friend of mine who has arthritis.

I also used to give it to my show horses who had problems with stiffness in their hocks (that's horsey elbows for those of you who are unfamiliar with equine terms). It really improved their performance.

You might give it a try. You should be able to get it at any health food store.

I go through that, but it didn't start until I suddenly moved nto this hundred year old house and it has progrssively gotten worse. I feel the rain coming on in my right knee and quite recenly I've developed what I had assumed was arthritis in my right hand. I'm ONLY 23! But this guy who said he had artheritis in ALL of his bones told me that he thinks that it is one of the marks of an older soul if you have artheritis at a young chronological age. I don't know that I believe that, I just don't know that's all.

Lunargirl, yes scary stuff happening round here... I am not looking forward to November incase of another terrorist attack

LTD, sorry to hear you suffer!! Heat packs often help but there really isn't alot you can do. Thank-you for the offer of the cal-mag but I can get my hands on some here, it's ok

Juniperb, nice affirmation Does it help if you strap your ankles??

HRJ, I have never herd of MSM?? If your wrists hurt you may suffer from RSI or carpel tunnel syndrom?? Have you seen a DictatoR about it??

Silverbells, I don't think I'm an old soul but that's interesting. Maybe it has to do with location?? Do any of you live near the ocean?? That's where it affects me the worse.

Obviously I'm not the only one who suffers though... to all

Sadly, strapping doesn`t help I just hobble along until it`s better. It has degenerative arthritis too and really complicates the pain/treatment. Plain asprin works best for me.

Do you think the ocean & Great Lakes would be the same?

I'm not sure?? maybe it's a water thing. However when I went home for christmas I had it and we were nowhere near water. However, we were surrounded by moutains and rainforests.... I think it's just a weather mystery!

Have you tried rubbing a creme into your ankles like deep heat (if you have it there). Its mainly for sports people but it heats up the area in which you rub it. I used to use it when I got shin splints, it also helps with the aching bones. If you can get someone to rub it in for you it also serves as a good excuse for a free massage

MSM is good stuff. You can get it at Wal-Mart.

You can find it there, too.
