Knowflakes, yesterday I pulled, tore, or stretched (unsure the term) the large muscle in the calf of my right leg. I`m in a great deal of pain, and the worst is, I`m laid up with it. Currently I`m putting ice on it every 2 hours and following up with my purple plate. Any more suggestions? I can`t afford this down time and would appreciate all the healing lite you can send to my leg to get me on the move again Thank you! juniperb IP: Logged |

So sorry to hear this juniperb. The only other thing I could suggest is keeping the leg wrapped (like with an ace bandage) between the ice/purple plate treatments as this may help it feel more supported and hopefully less painful. Also, if you don't have any problem with otc meds, ibuprofin is good for muscle pain. It helped me a lot when I sprained my ankle the other year. In the meantime...many positive and healing thoughts sent your way! IP: Logged |

Thanks for all the loving energy I`m surprised at how much it`s improved in 24 hours! I was able to hobble (with the help of a broomstick ) to the barn for tonights feedings. No chance at work tomorrow, but it will give me some much needed rest. That is if I can shake these ants in my pants: I want to do something!! Thank you so much, I k-now my quicker recovery is positive knowflake vibs juniperb IP: Logged |

the pic Sylven. Guess I`m no spring chicken and this is taking a while to heal. It`s been me, Oreos, Gooberz, horse linament, heating pad and a herd of cats holding down the recliner. Odd thing, after this happened, the two big dogs keep sniffing at it. One would sniff and lick it then sit and look at me. The other would sniff and poke at it with his nose. Massaging it? The xtra attention is nice tho. Thanks for the wonderful thoughts, prayers and lite!! juniperb IP: Logged |

juniperb!! Late-breaking healing vibes sent your way!! Oddly, one of the parts of the body that Aqua rules is the calves. Have you tried meditating on how your injury is related to where you might be right now in your life? What were the circumstances of how it happened? Plus I know you'll have been using flower remedies... Take care, and get all better soon! Lunargirl IP: Logged |

Hi SunShyne, thanks for asking the intense pain is gone and it`s stiff. I had a huge bruise from the blood leaking from the tear. I have a feeling complete recovery is a lengthy process. Lunargirl, I think the message was to slow down and think about what I`ve been avoiding. Goodness knows it gave me the time but I`m no closer to a solution . Thank you all for the well wishs and lite juniperb IP: Logged |

juniperb! The lesson of slowing down is difficult, but it's also a lesson of attention. When the legs are involved, issues of automony are foremost -- I had a leg injury a couple years ago, and as tough as it was, as shaken as I was about it at the time, it made me reflect on autonomy, who I am without my activities, and how my ego had become bigger than I had imagined it to be, and had slipped out of my 'control'! In my case it was vanity that prompted my injury -- had I only paid better attention, and prioritized, the accident could have been avoided. I wish you more healing, and a faster "getting the answers" process than I had!! Lunar IP: Logged |

More healing for juniperb Oh, and the American Botanical Pharmacy makes a simply wonderful deep tissue oil, designed to heal injuries such as yours, not just alleviate pain. It increases circulation. I'm really not affiliated with them in any way! Just a huge fan of their products, all completely organic. No website, but if you're ever interested their number is 1-800-HERBDOC. Also, something simple you can do now, as recommended by these fine folks, is hot and cold therapy. This alone will heal you, the deep tissue oil is considered a miracle. Every day until you are well, alternate very hot water over the injury for one minute, then ice cold for one minute. Alternate hot/cld 7 to ten times. IP: Logged |

A lot of to you Juniperb, hope you'll feeling a little bit better now.I'm sending you some healing, although I'm a beginner, And, How are you reacting on cold and warm? I myself get worse if I put ice or cold on my mussles. Heat is the best for me. Also, if it's starting to heal, you can try get some massage. Why don't you ask your Canser man?
