Today my co-worker brought me 2 hearty-sized mangos. Just had 1 after dinner. It was so delicious! Why am I so nuts for mangos? I think the Great Spirit made candy for us and one is the Mango

Let's name some more of Nature's Candy;

Pineapple
Coconut
Cherry
Apricot
Grapes
Oranges (sweet)
Tangerines (sweet)
Papaya
Kiwi (I don't like Kiwi too much)(has a weird tang to me)
Peaches
Apple
Guava
Plum (almost forgot, and we have a plum tree!)
Pear

anything else?

How about bananas are like the perfect snack! And when you gently squeeze a peeled one they divide into 3 slivers.

Did you say carambola? Dip in a little sugar and they are so good!

Avocados- YUM! And nuts!

Haha I like the mustache I get from eating a juicy mango!

OHMYGOSH! How could I forget berries!!!! I love berries!!!! I love to pick them and I love to eat them. I also love berry pie. The best is Boysenberry Pie, it has a nice tang and more flavor than Blackberry.

Raspberries are wonderful

oh my goodness.. One of the things I absolutely fell in love with when I was in Miami last November was the avacados.

Sooo huge and creamy and flavorful..

*sigh*

It's almost painful to go to the grocery store now and choose from the puny underripe sorry imitations of avacados there.

Mangoes are VERY special.

I like the writer, SARK, and she talks about mangoes so much that at readings, fans bring her mangoes.

I like frozen grapes, myself. Call me weird.

Tayberries.
(Also known as Marionberries or Marion Blackberries.)

I can sit there and eat a whole thing of preserves straight from the jar.

And Nectarines

Ok, this will mortify the vegans out there..but...I don't eat fruit (except apples) and loathe cooked veggies of all varieties (except corn and green beans) and many raw veggies as well...

But oh how I long to like fruit. Alas I have some weird thing about fruit and its texture that prevents me from eating it, despite liking the taste. Citrus fruits are the worst, the texture of it in my mouth so grosses me out I gag.

*sigh*

What do we do if we are in the Great White North? There are bananas in the stores, that's about it.

Any ideas? Canned Pinneapple?

I'm open,

Natasha

StHenri,

There's no fresh fruits in your stores? Do you have local farmers markets?

Wow, I could never live up there. Also regarding what you wrote on the other thread about anti-depressants, have you thought about moving to the south? The reason I suggest that is because you stated that people are sad this time of year; I guess you all still have winter.

Good Luck

Yes, Yes and Yes.

Well, we have imported fruit, no farmers markets until late May.
Why do you think I'm an artist? Sometimes I just paint strawberries so at least I have a simulation.
It's actually warmer in England than here. I was in the U.K last April and it was already summer with strawberry season. Back in New England it was still rainy and cold.

I have seriously thought of retiring to the U.K, but I couldn't live in the South since I can't take the extreme heat and it's hard to quit my work, since I am artist I have to stay in at least a regional area.

The U.K. especially Ireland has great support for artists. I am going to start subletting my place and living there for a few months a year, but it takes time you know.

Thanks, I will for now, just buy flowers.

Hey Natasha,

Let me know if you visit, or plan to move to the UK, I'll give you the lo - down on some of the areas and the best place to stay.

I personally think the best is around central London for business side. So many artists live in the west-end - it's everything, all the time.. then when you visit the beautiful places, it's even more breathtaking. Thinking of taking a short break to Wales soon.

Where did you visit in the UK last April?
