TO ALL:MY AUNT HAS PANCREATIC CANCER AND NONE OF HER TREATMENTS HAVE PROVED USEFUL AT ALL. I THINK THIS IS RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE FATAL CANCERS IN MOST CASES. IS THERE ANYTHING - ANYTHING AT ALL - THAT ANYONE MIGHT BE ABLE TO RECOMEND? ANY WAY I CAN HELP HER DIRECTLY? I DO SEND GOOD ENERGY HER WAY BUT I FEAR I AM NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I WOULD BE MORE THAN GRATEFUL FOR ANY INSIGHTS. I KNOW THAT IF SHE DIES, IT WILL NOT MEAN I WILL NEVER SEE HER AGAIN. I AM NOT WORRIED ABOUT THAT. BUT I AM SO SAD FOR HER BECAUSE SHE JUST RETIRED AND WAS BEGINNING TO ENJOY LIFE MORE AND DO THE THINGS SHE REALLY WANTED TO DO. NOW THIS IS BEING TAKEN AWAY FROM HER, AT LEAST FOR THE MOMENT. I THINK SHE DESERVES TO LIVE IN HEALTH, IF EVEN FOR A FEW MORE YEARS ONLY. CAN ANYONE OFFER ANY WORDS OF ADVICE?? THANK YOU SO MUCH. IP: Logged |

Quiksilver-I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. Pancreatic cancer is a horrible type of cancer that there is no cure for. A good friend of mine from High School is loosing her father to it as we speak. The family has taken him to many specialist for experimental treatment but it has not helped. They also have taken him to herblogist and had many alternative treatments done by healers. Unfortunatly none of this has worked. His health is failing fast. I wish I had some positive things to say...anything that could help, but I do not. I will be sending white healing light her way and be praying for the both of you. Love, Irish IP: Logged |

There is a Dr. at John Hopkin's that is a wonder with Pancreatic Cancer. He helped a friend's Father a few years back. No more info than that right now, but it is a great lead! Sorry, just coincidently saw this , hope it helps!IP: Logged |

I am touched by everyone's replies. Thank you so much. Irish eyes, it appears that there ARE in fact incurable dis-eases, contrary to the opinion some have expressed. And Annie, would you be able to get the name of this doctor by any chance? I greatly appreciate anything you might be able to do but meanwhile will look into this myself and see what I can find.....Thank you all for your concern and I will continue to keep you informed... Quicksilver, I can't begin to imagine your pain and the horror your aunt is going through. See, I'm not saying that there are no incurable diseases. But if you read Dr. Schulze's newsletters and books you start to believe that anythink is possible. Please, go to www.herbdoc.com You can see for yourself. He claims that cancer is curable.Lots of light and love to your aunt ------------------ "Know thyself" Inscribed on the temple of Apollo at Delphi IP: Logged |

quicksilver - have you checked through the Mayo Clinic site for any physician or procedure recommendations? helping her keep a good attitude is also important - perhaps introducing her to some guided meditations. i believe there are ones specifically for folks fighting cancer - and it can't hurt, might help. i'll send you and your aunt as much energy as i can - good luck. xb (hey gia - have you met dr. day? she was a good friend of a woman i used to work for and her story is very impressive. i think her regimen is difficult for people to follow, but i'd definitely give it a try over some other options, at leat to start with. from what i remember her "secret" was water - lots of water.) Hey Claire, I really sympathise for you and your aunt. My brother died of cancer age 7 and my aunt was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with breast cancer and is having a masectomy as we speak. I cannot help on a medical front, but try as much as you can to stay strong in yourself. Be there for your aunt without becoming over-emotionally involved, if at all possible- you will be of most use to her if you don't. People deal with the grief of discovering they have cancer in very different ways, but many people find it a great support to be able to talk about it and know that they are not alone. If she can continue with her usual lifestyle as much as possible I think she would feel better for it. Easier said than done, I know, is she having chemotherapy? Take care of yourself,------------------ love, Matilda IP: Logged |

Thank you so much, gem. I am actually going to visit my aunt this weekend and I am going to give her as much positive energy as I can possibly muster. She's such a special person. So understanding, always a kind word for everyone and a great sense of humor. She's one of those types that tries to wait on you hand and foot as soon as you walk into her house. She's a great cook too And Xelena - although she has great faith, her name is in fact Ann Marie. What made you ask?? Just curious.... She is ALWAYS praying at the chapel (even before she was sick) and always volunteered to help out at her parish. All the nuns love her and joke around that she's an honorary "sister". I myself am not so churchgoing because I find that I do better reflecting on my own but my aunt is definitely one person who's faith goes way beyond the ordinary. Even though she's so sick, she still cracks jokes and tries to be in good spirits. She's such a great person. THanks so much for sharing, guys. It really means so much to me!IP: Logged |

Quiksilver, I lost a Grandpa and cousin to it as well. Love, support and prayers makes a huge difference. They both went beyond expectations with this basic care I will keep you and Aunt Ann Marie in my prayers and ask the God/dess to guide, and comfort you . ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

hey there, quiksilver - glad to hear your spirits are up and that you'll get to visit this weekend. from what i've heard, people who are ill most want to be treated like "normal" - so i'm sure your energy will be much appreciated by your aunt.thanks for sharing about her - she sounds absolutely wonderful. put a smile on my face with just those few sentences. i had asked about Faith because i recently learned that i woman i know named Faith has pancreatic cancer - and she was originally from NJ, so the coincidence was odd. perhaps it was a coded message to you from your good luck this weekend - Ann Marie is lucky to have such loving family - and that's really all we can "take with us", isn't it? our memories of the people who loved us. love to you, x

So sorry it took a long time to respond! Thank you Xelena once again for your kind words. I did in fact visit my aunt and she seems in pretty good spirits, though she is certainly looking weak. I will keep a positive outlook and keep praying. No matter what happens, I still think that no one really ever "dies"...... She will always be with us in some form or another IP: Logged |
