Dearest Philbird, I'm so sad to read of your loss. I tried to think of a few words to console you. It must be hard to live with the guilt of accidently killing poor Terry and Tara, especially as you were sitting at "Red Lobster," stuffing yourself with turtle soup. You asked if there is a heaven for turtles?
This is what I think....
Terry and Tara were turtles,
Sweet little twosome, I'm told,
With dreams of living together...
At least, until they grew old.
These two little turtles were tiny,
Only 1" by 1" - they were neat,
Could have stayed that size for a lifetime,
If not exposed to exceptional heat.
As turtles, I guess they were helpless,
When Philbird decided to cook,
Now the two little turtles are ashes,
Despite all the precautions they took.
Now you ask "Is there a Heaven for turtles,
A place for the big and the small,
A place for the meek and mighty,
And for those that can't walk, only crawl?"
There are no "Red Lobsters" in Heaven,
No heat lamps either, I'm told,
There's really no need for them is there?
It's hardly a place to be cold!
'Cos there are no real DANGERS in Heaven,
Well, perhaps, I can think of a few,
Like getting crushed by a much larger turtle,
Or reincarnating to YOU!!!!
Lots of Gia.
