After a friend read this site, she's been drinking..
.. for the last couple of weeks, replacing regular tea / coffee 90/10 & has found a definite improvement in energy - less vaugue mornings too.

I also heard this morning, that a diet rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, found in fish such as salmon and sardines can help keep Alzheimer's at bay. It was a Canadian study, published in 'Neuron' provides evidence that dietary influences has a direct impact on a person's risk of developing the disease.

Good thing I like fish then - and green tea

Sheaa!
You amaze me! It seems every time you mention a good product, It's the same products I give my birds! Omega 3,6,9, Colloidal Silver... and sometimes Iodine. Maybe I should be eating the same foods as my birds! Are you a bird?
The birds I have are called Gouldian finches... www.ladygouldianfinch.com
You can see what they look like.

One time I had a Gouldian that had a desease of the nervous system. I happened to be taking an anti seizure medication called Neurontin. I thought if it effects the nervous system, it may work on the bird. He was in such bad shape, he couldn't eat by himself, so I concocted a combo of Neurontin, Omega 3,6,9, Colloidal Silver, baby bird feed. I fed him every two hours for two weeks and soon he came around. He was never really ok, but he could eat on his own. Unfortunately, the desease does eventually kill the bird... but he seemed more content, and in control of his body.
We were sad to see him go, he was very sweet for a finch.
Whenever I have a sick bird, I make up these concoctions to see if they work. I do pretty good on the whole. I only had to take a bird to the vet. once.
Well, I've blabbered on... See you later.

What do you think Gia, should I go into the Pharmaceutical business?
Mary

PS The colloidal Silver I use for my birds is cheaper and DOES come in an amber glass bottle.

Dearest Philly,

Vets have often treated people and doctors have often treated animals. Lord help us Philly, I think they do a great job of killing enough people on their own without you to help them.

No really, it was interesting to read about the little finch. I do think collodial siver is great.

Toodle doo I must rush to the loo!

Philbird! sooo you figured my disguise at last. Yes I am a bird as the first part of my real name suggests (Ka) -in sound & mythology, I'd love to be a white eagle, but I think I'm a wren

Yeah that Nature's Alternatives site is on another level - I would have considered it a spoof if it wasn't for the Linda purple plates link. I mean, Noni Juice, catering for Mork & Mindy came to mind. Nice family page! I wanna be a Gouldian foster parent now, somewhere else to relate when my feathers are ruffled! I think I just found a whole new colurful community

Sorry to hear about your finch Philly

Sounds like you're doing a marvellous job, as MotherBird Alchemist how many family members do you have? Love to see some some pics if you got em!

Inna bit

Good Morning Sheaa!

We have 13 Goulds, all different colors. 1 African Grey with his two hundred word vocabulary, and two or three Goulds ready to hatch. I used to raise them, but now the ones I have are pets. When I get a good pic. I'll post them! I have been raising Goulds for about five years... they are fickle birds and on the endangered species list. But they are such a joy to look at!!!
They have an indoor aviary. When I go up to the cage, they come over and peer at me!
Good Morning!

Sheaa,

I would really like to thank you for your original post. I looked up that site and some others and found a site called Native Remedies. I purchased a remedy called Focus, for ADHD, for my son. Eventhough the co. is located in the heart of Florida, with all the hurricanes, they shipped the herbals right away and my son has been taking the Focus formula. The true effects will take a few weeks, but even after the first few doses, I see he is a little calmer. Thank you for sparking me to do something to help him.
Love Mary

Mary that's fantastic! I was going to pull up Jaybird's thread, good to hear you're seeing reaction from something I'm considering purchasing the, Tropical Blue Gel with Emu oil, for when my shoulder aches sometimes, used to have problems with it dislocating when I did martial arts. Mainly because it sounds fantastical though, like something Willy Wonka would invent if he had a healing factory

You have quite a family - 13 Goulds and an African Grey!! Definitly wanna see your pics. If you know anywhere I can get a white eagle I'd be stoked!
