Okay my butt is not quite that big but I can see its getting that way.

I really want to lose some weght not lots just some I weigh 149 pounds/68 kilograms.

I would like to lose about 13 kilograms/25 pounds.

Can anyone recommend a diet that is simple and easy to follow.
Has anyone else got any experience of a diet that works for them?

You could try the color diet recommeded in Star Signs. If that is not your scene and if you are not adverse to a bit of exercise I always mention Windsor Pilates 'cause when I did it, it really worked. Well... it started to, if I hadn't quit after a week and a half I might have had more results. They have a twenty minute workout that I did everyday and within a week I noticed all - over results even my face.

But I think that the best way to begin to lose weight is drinking so much water.
All water, no desserts and since you are doing that, eat whatever you want for meals as long as you don't stuff yourself to the point that you can't get up from the table. That had worked for me once upon a time too.

Portion control is best. Don't deny your body just watch how much you eat. Don't eat late. I try not to eat after six unless I'm going out or entertaining. Water and movement are also important.

Since Pix, Philbird & her hubby decided to quit smoking, I decided to take up a new work out routine!!

MONDAY

Beat around the bush
Jump to conclusions
Climb the walls
Wade through the morning paper

TUESDAY
Drag my heels
Push my luck
Make Mountains out of mole hills
Hit the nail on the head

WEDNESDAY
Bend over backwards
Jump on the Band Wagon
Run around in circles

THURSDAY
Toot my own horn
Pull out all the stops
Add fuel to the fire

FRIDAY
Open a can of worms
Put my foot in my mouth
Start the ball rolling
Go over the edge.

SATURDAY

Pick up the pieces.

SUNDAY

Kneel in prayer
Bow my head in thanksgiving
Uplift my hands in praise
Hug someone and encourage them

What a Workout!

Love that noreenz! Worth doing though - I take it you're giving up smoking with that workout routine?

Once again the best advice - Pilates, water, portions, eating times, exercise & humour

I just had to say that I agree entirely with the suggestion for Winsor Pilates. It is the absolute best, and you do begin to see results quickly. I not only noticed that I was getting slimmer when I started, but I was also more flexible. I couple it with a brisk 30 min walk beforehand whenever I can. I've also tried cutting portions down and eating more often ... like grazing, I guess. So I'm never really super hunry ... and that way I don't over-eat or eat too fast. Also, lots of water is vital to me. Juice and tea are secondaries and, every now and then, I'll have some coffee.
A treat now and then is certainly encouraging, too. Like made from scratch brownies.

Geez, I've been slacking off for a little while now ... thanks for helping me remember how much I love Pilates.

Thank you all for the input!!! I do Pilates already and really enjoy it. I probably do need to eat smaller portions. I'm quite pleased because I have started to shift some weight from the right places

I have found that eating sensibly, eating whole grains and eliminating dairy fats and then just keeping regular fats to a minimum is working on me. In fact Im looking forward to my annual next month becasue I know I've lost weight and I will be getting on the scale there. I probably have another 10 lbs to lose.
