Welcome supernovajen I'm not suseptable to migraines, only periodic headaches. Interestingly I found many Scorpios I know get them. Have you found anything suitable as yet? Anyway - I agree with Randall on the Omega 3 supplements. Also drinking lots of water - as with most things eh? Recently, I've had a really bad throbbing pain the the right side of my brain. I say brain as opposed to head since it does seem to be right inside. I've had this before whilst under a lot of strain and the doctor called it a cluster headache which comes and goes - not much to be worried about. However it's back and I am worried about it, only because I wouldn't want medicene to bring it up 15 years down the line as something that had to be nipped in the bud, you know? It's a dull, throbbing, when I move my head it hurts behind my right eye. I am slightly short sighted in my right eye - could it be that, or something to do with mobile phone use? It's not there all the time, just comes and goes - not everyday either. My head feels 'dizzier' that's all. Perhaps it's constant PC use too. I wondered if anyone had a similar headache to this - I know the doctor will just tell me to take painkillers again! Sheaa

I'm a Scorpio Sun also, and I get the same kind of headaches you're describing... I believe mine are behind my left eye though (however, I am left-handed) coincidence??Anyway, here's an interesting story if you want to get "far-out" for a little bit... The man I received my Reiki attunements from, Tim Allingham, is a wonderful psychic/medium/healer. (In case you're unfamiliar with Reiki, it's universal healing energy.) Anyway, Tim was telling us a story one time about a client of his that had horrible headaches right behind his eye. Tim kept trying to heal the man, but the migraines kept coming back. Finally Tim had the idea that it might be an injury from a past life that the man was holding on to. (Sometimes when you have a really traumatic event in a past life, you bring it with you to future lives.) Anyway, Tim suggested that the man go to a past life regression/releasement therapist. Well, the man did. He returned to Tim and told him that he didn't mention a thing about the migraines to the therpist prior to the sessions. Finally the therpist told the man the he saw the man being shot in the eye in his previous life, but he lived through it. In his previous life he had constant migraines there until he finally died. Well, the therpist helped to release the past life and Tim said the guy is doing great and migraine free. Like I said, that might seem a little "far-out" for some, but after some of the things that I've seen in my life, I think it's a pretty cool story. Ok, my point for the story, lol, was that you might have had a trauma in a past life. Also most physical ailments and dis-eases are caused from either mental, emotional or spiritual problems. See if there's a pattern to when you have the headaches. If not, it could be sinuses, vision problems or like you said, too much PC! Hope this helps. ~ Shan IP: Logged |

Welcome Shan! Thank you - I do believe in past lives, I'll take that on board - I still would love to be regressed, I find it all so interesting. I'd like to partake in Reiki healing, haven't got round to it.. there's always some other priority to pay for first you know? Oh yeah sorry I'm a Sag, I just mentioned Scorps in the ones that I know related to headaches And you're a Scorp so it must be your birthday around now? I'll post it in Free-For-All ------------------ "We see everything through a glass, darkly. Sometimes we can peer through the glass and catch a glimpse of what is on the other side. If we were to polish the glass clean, we'd see much more. But then we would no longer see ourselves." From 'Deep Quotes' IP: Logged |

Hi, I was just about to post a message to the board and saw your question. Well I have very very positive results and hope it works for others. After suffering headaches/migraines for over 20 years and the last 5 or 6 years they have lasted for 3 days (around time of my period) and god I couldn't describe the pain. About 3 months ago my dad sent me an article in the daily mail which said that research shows vitamin B2 taken in large doses can help migraine. Well I tried it and have been taking it for about 3 months and after this amount of time I have gone through my first month WITH NO HEADACHE - I am so happy and relieved. So what you do is take 400mg per day (2 x 100mg at morning and evening), I also take a vitamin B complex tab and a cal/mag too. Give it a try and let me know how you get on and yes...............I am also a Scorpio! xx p.s. the article said a period of 2 months should be given before results were felt.IP: Logged |

pps I also believe in past lives, but I felt in my case it was something more to do with what I was lacking in the body - a hormonal thing maybe and I felt being a scorpio and very very intense the B vitamin supports the nervous system - it makes sense doesnt it? Having said that I was probably beheaded in a past life!! Good luck.IP: Logged |

Thanks for the welcome and LOL at the beheaded!I guess the main thing you need to do is listen to your body. See if it's telling you that you need some sort of supplement (like if you're craving a certian type of food a lot, i.e. red meat, nuts, beans = protein - aenemia can give really bad headaches) or if you just "feel" that a certain vitamin might help. I'm sorry I can't offer any remedies... I'm a Reiki junkie and I use it for everything, lol. But yes, do listen to your body. IP: Logged |

Couldn't help but see this post on migrains and also wanted to respond. I didn't get headaches and I have never had a migrain until a few weeks ago. I was getting a headache every day for about 3 weeks until one morning I awoke to a really bad migrain that I couldn't get rode of. One of my girlfriends also told me about the B Vitamins and to take Vitamins A,C, and something with Folic Acid also to help with the proper absorption. I did this and within a week my headaches where gone. Headaches are stress related and more so for women because we deplete our natural B vit. and this leads to muscle problems, hormonal inbalances, irritability, and headaches. Thanks for letting me share and hope we can all be stress free. Solane star
It also helped that I quit my stressful job!!!

My 17-yr old daughter is plagued with these - wish I knew what to do for her. Not that she'd let me, when I start talking to her about astr. or other alternative therapies she gives me that "patient" look one reserves for Alhiemers disease patients or the severely mentally ill ! (She's been living with her dad since she was 11, came back to me in the spring, her father has very strict Christian fundamentalist views, poor dear, caught between the two of us!!!)At this point she's been getting them almost every day, excedrin seems to be the only thing that cuts them off at the pass!!! Have gotten her to a chiropractor, which seemed to help at first, (he says the whole problem is in her neck) but unfortunately the last 2 visits only seemed to make things worse. Also, she was receptive to seeing an acupuncturist, she mostly talks about posture and possibly hormones. That too, seemed to help for a while... The frustrating thing about all this is she can go for weeks without any for no apparent reason they come back. So it's hard to know what's working, what the triggers are... All seems so totally random! Now her grandmother and the people at school are saying she needs to see a neurologist and get an MCI, all this makes me really nervous, serious brain stuff... I just have such a distrust of the medical est. to make matters worse we have to search for an MD! (wish insurance would recognize alternative medicine!!! Pet peeve - ) Maybe send some healing light her way??? You're all such s!! Oh did anyone try the omega acids? How'd they work? Have you found any relief Sheaa, super? IP: Logged |

Just thought I'd let y'all know - she had her MRI and it came back fine.... what a relief!!!I knew in my heart it wasn't that... but whenever I get around doctors seems all my good instincts go out the window and I'm bowing to the great-know-all MD pie-in-the-sky god!!! Plus the great worrier in me loves to run the "what if?" scenario around in my mind..... well at least now we can shut up the people at school and gram-in-law...(doctors all in their own right! ) just hope the test in itself wasn't harmful (had to go twice due to an imcomplete picture! ugh) now they've got her on some pills and I'm gonna have to keep my eyes on that, but I have to let go... she wants to make her own medical decisions and if I push too hard she'll want to go the other way!!! (never so smart as I was at 17!!!) IP: Logged |

Chiropratic adjustments are wonderful for migrains. They primarily use high velocity manipulations of the neck to improve nerve function. I would really recommend finding yourself a really good one and trying at least two treatments for relief. I also recommend magnetic therapy. Gia IP: Logged |

hi allDelerious - I read about ur daughter. One thing I wanted to mention was my b/f mother has suffered from these all her life. She has been to every doctor for everything they can think of thats possibly triggering/causeing these headaches. She was looking at finally going outta state to seek better professional help when her and I got to talking. We thought maybe before heading outta state consult a spiritual healer. SHe did. She ended up going to a Shaman Lady. This lady found karmic stuff to be the root of her problems. (neat thing with that was when she was younger she had a past life regression done and migraines came up in her past) This lady ended up doing some work on her and its been almost 1 mo and no headache of any sort. When she used to have them daily and if not a headache a "band of tightness" as she calls it around her head. - so it may be something she may want to look into. They're relatively inexpensive. Sheaa, My mom is a Scorpio and has had frequent migraines since her 20's I think. She has to take a crap load of meds for them, she's tried a lot of stuff but nothing works. It's weird that you mentioned that.......IP: Logged |
