i have been getting spots on the forehead and, having black skin, its the worst cos whats left once the spot is gone is a pigmentation scar.

i know having spots on the different parts of the face is synonymous with an internal organ....

which organ would be synonymous with spots on the forehead....?

i have never had bad skin before and i guess this is an indicator that I need to change my diet

Hi Moonbaby,

wow, I had no idea, how very interesting. I can't wait to hear what others have to say. Thanks.

P.S. Spots? as in breaking out, like pimples?

I know the chin is known as the 'hormone zone' and I know that is true of my skin.
In terms of scarring....
I don't know your skin type... and let's start there.
There are only three types of skin,Normal/Oily/Dry. *and combinations of the above, depending on where it is on your face* the rest of the 'problems' or concerns are skin 'conditions'
So you can have oily skin, yet exhibit signs of dehydration... etc.
You can have dry skin, yet still have 'spots' although it is less likely, as the skin doesn't produce a lot of natural lubrication, so there is less likelihood that these small pores will get impacted.
Do you have bangs, or wear your hair in ways or with syling products which would contribute to the problem? The first step is in identifying the cause, and then preventing it as you treat. For instance, hair wax/oils/hairspray, that could be contributing to the problem.
In terms of scarring, as we age, the cellular shedding of our skin cells slows down. A healthy shedding cycle is 28 days. *not all at the same time, of course, that would be too funny!*
If you have oily skin, or an oily area, or even a normal area ( foreheads tend to be part of the T-zone of the problem) the skin cells building up over the pore ( or commodone) and effectively trapping the oil inside, leads to pustules. The best thing yo ucan do for your skin is start taking away those plugs of dead skin. You can do this several ways ( and I am sure Gia can contribute more internal ways as well)
You can use mechanical means, or chemical means.
Mechanical is something you do yourself.. ie; scrubbing.. the scrub is abrasive enough on it's own, please don't use more pressure than is needed, as it will lead to irritation, micro cuts, and more problems. Use a gentle scrub...
AHA's are fabulous for desquamafying the skin.. these are 'chemical'.(though derived from natural sources... milk-lactic acid, fruits-citric, etc...Sugar-glycolic. the most effective are 'glycolic' acids, as the molecular structure is smallest, allowing it to target only the dead skin cells. This is what you want. You can use these effectively at higher concentrations,*usually through your doctor or a specialized skin care.
But if you use a salicylic acid, a percentage of %1, or %2 is fine. You can find these in over the counter formulas.
Use 'micro-beads' in a scrub. They are gentler yet effective.
I mention glycolic acids, because tdead skin cells also contribute to lack of radiance, and scarring being noticable.
The more built up cells, the darker the pigmentation.
The more effectively the skin sheds, the better it will work. Moderation in everything though.... going overboard can be detrimental.
In the meantime, if they are very bothersome, use a natural foundation, or cover up ( Gia reccomends a line) or use something oil free, and perhaps with added vitamins ( always helps) and use a sun block, as the sun will contribute to visible scars on the face.
I hope this helps.

yea, noreenz....irritations, as in zits...

many thanks pixie,

i think its my diet. moved back in with my mum, and all i do is eat. its african food as well, very rich in oils....tasty as hell though....ummmm

so i am going to start a detox tomoz....just fruit and veg and loads of water..

just read interesting article about apple cider vinegar...miracle juice apparently...

my skin has evolved from all out dry, to oily forehead...may be to do with diet...most likely in fact.

and I have been going a bit loco on the scrubbing...so will hold it down...
