I am 18 years old and two weeks ago, I was told that I have gone through premature menopause. They are currently talking to infertility clinics to see if I can still get pregnant. If I do though, it will have to be SOON. Any suggestions on how to deal or what to do? It would be greatly appreciated. IP: Logged |

The stress you must be through. Visulization can work wonders if you believe. Try meditating and imagine a white light entering your womb and ovaries making them fertile again. I personally heavily believe in Angels so if you do also, specifically ask your angels to help you heal and imagine that white light as being your angel. Archangel Raphael is the Archangel for healing so you could ask him for help also. IP: Logged |

I would suggest you get a second opinion. It is often the case that in young people this can be reversed naturally. Gia IP: Logged |

Gia, what you said reminded me of a situation I had when I was 18. I was told that my uterus was thinning and that it would be next to impossible for me to carry a child to term. Most likely any pregnancy would only last a few months. When I was 21 my oldest daughter was born, and 22 with the youngest (16 months apart... I know... ). That old wives tale about not getting pregnant while you're nursing is NOT true. Not that I really believed it. We used the pull and pray method two times after our oldest was born. The rest of the time we used condoms. 10,000 live sperm in pre-ejaculation... My youngest daughter is living proof of that fact Since they were so close, with nursing and being pregnant, I didn't have a period for over two years. Those were the days IP: Logged |

Before my Grandmother died she was involved in a drug study at University of Minnesota. They were trying to see if their medication would help with women with heart disease. Anyways the drug that they gave her made her menstrate again. I dont know if it reversed her menopause completly though......I agree that you should get a second opinion though. I once has an impetigo sore by my eye and the doctor tried telling me it was just a sty. On the other hand I had another idiot doctor, my son was 2 months old, throwing up all his food, and the doctor didnt think it was that serious. My son ended up spending 3 weeks in the hospital. And LS...my son is living proof that the pill isnt 100% effective...lol.

BIG_midget,Yes, a second opinion is the smartest thing you could do at this point. Also consider that medicine is changing and growing every day, so even if you do have problems with your reproductive system now, it could be fixed in future. Trust me on this, I was told when I was 19 that I probably could not carry a child past 3 months, and have had several surgeries and issues with my uterus since then. But I still don't give up hope that someday I could have a child of my own. Don't feel that ''now is your only chance'', you may not be ready now... and even though it seems like a curse, it may be a good thing, as when you are ready for children, you will know you are really ready, and will have to take more serious measures than many other people to have a child of your own. This may not sound terribly encouraging, as I don't have a happy ''yes, i was told that and i have 2 healthy children now'' story, but... I won't give up hope that I will someday Gotta look at the positive, and make sure you see more than one doctor, you need the peace of mind. Love and light, Ghani

I've gotten a second opinion and it came out the same. Now I need to see a fertility specialist and find a research group that specializes in premature menopause.IP: Logged |
