Ashwaganda has just been put through clinical trials to see how it improved thyroid fuction. The results were beyond impressive. It seems that it converted nutrients that we consume into thyroid hormones. It helped with the weight problem that many people who have thyroid condition often struggle with.Herbal Plus Fingerprinted Ashwagandha can be purchased at GNC store nationwide or at www.gnc.com. 200 - 300 mg. daily. Rosemary extract was also found to be helpful because of it's ability of communicating the thyroid hormones to the cells. The American College of Endocrinologists have issued new guidlines lowering the 'normal' range of the primary test. If your TSH is over 3.0 your results are not normal. I hope this will be of some help. Gia IP: Logged |

I've made a tincture from organic Ashwaganda obtained from Pacific Botanicals, which I take every day. I've no idea how to measure the dosage, but I take about 5 droppersful. I had worked very hard during the 30 day body detox to balance my thyroid w/o medication. I incorporated the Ashwaganda and organic cold-pressed coconut oil, and cleansed my body. But...within two weeks of finishing I started to display classic symptoms of hypothyroidism, including becoming overly sensitive to cold, extremely dry skin, low body temperature, mood swings, brain fog and weight gain. So...I reluctantly went back on the medication. I am still taking the Ashwaganda, too. Perhaps I should increase the amount I take. Thanks for asking, Gia. IP: Logged |
