Ok, I got some makeup questions. I'm not sure what colour eyeliner I should use. I have big brown eyes. I dont want to use black cause its too harsh. Ever seen the John Freida commercial for "Brilliant Brunnet"...I love the eye makeup in that. I want to know what shade of brown I should use..so anyone got any suggestions. Also, I decided to get my hair done soon. I have medium, very curly hair, dark brown. I want to put some streaks. my skin..is naturally light tan. i was thinking bout red..but im not sure what shade of red..or a different shade of brown..so suggestions anyone? also...I always have a problem with picking the right shade of foundation. i dont use it on my whole face..just lil spots to cover up zits..but even when i go to the makeup person..i always end up getting the wrong shade. right now i have one thats too light so it dosnt cover well.. If you've got big brown eyes, the make up world is your oyster. You can do virtually anything. experiment at home, when nothing is pressing.. smudging and blending is a major art. I'd also rethink that black is too harsh thing.. nothing better for creating an awesome smokey eye. Just be sure to keep your hand light. If you want subtlety, just draw the line as close to your lashline as possible.. very thin. It will define without looking obvious. Also, use a heavier line on the outside corners of your eye as opposed to the inside... the cat's eye look. Speaking of inside.. it's always sexy towear liner on the inner rims of eyes. Try it..... Try various shades of bronze and tan for everyday. It's always best to buy a few of the same colour family.. like in a pallette of at least two colours. It takes the guesswork out of it. That said, a nice innocent pink ( metallic or sparkly is in right now) all around your eye.. with just a touch of mascara. It opens the eye. You are young, so wrinkles aren't a factor, as pearlized shades can be harsh on crepey skin.... but you should be smooth as a peach. Even a light blue, with navy liner looks freah and enhances the whites. The rule is that if you want your eyes to pop, use the opposite colour on the colour wheel as your eye colour. For instance, my eyes are green/gold, so I use russets and bronzes to my advantage. I also love purple.. that's a new thing. But that is bolder, and I love experimenting. Make up is fun. Make it so.
