Just wondering if anyone else suffers from a 'sluggish' allimentary canal? I went to the Doctor's finally today ( my pharmacist has been hounding me) and got a presciption for something called "Zel-Norm" I know this isn't about spiritual abundance or natural healing methods, but it is about IBS. (kinda' a reverse IBS) Yep I am anal retentive about a lot of things. But because I think of this place as home, I wanted to talk about it a wee bit, and see if anyone else has stories or something ( kinda' embar-ass-ing or painful to share). *smooches*IP: Logged |

Well, Pix... The only a$$ story I have is that I've always had problems 'going'. #2 is not my favorite number but I found out that a rich in veggies diet and lots, LOTS of water usually does the trick. You need to go at least once a day, usually in the morning. I can recommend something I tried on myself Dr. Schulze's Intestinal Formula 1 and 2. It works very well but you need to exclude meat and dairy from your diet. Here is the link: Dr. Schulze's Herbal ProductsGo to Dr. Schulze's Herbal Products, click on I Agree(If you agree to his terms and go to his Online Farmacy. If you need more info on the products, go to his Online Catalog. I recommend that you get the Intestinal Formula #2 in capsules. It is more expensive but you don't have to deal with the awfully tasting powder. In my opinion colon health is very important and you can usually tell how healthy someone is by their bowel movements. I am not familiar with what your doctor has prescribed you but I believe herbs and balanced diet are more useful in the long run.
Good luck to you and keep us posted! BTW Scorpio I think rules the Excretory System. So there you go I have my moon in Libra in the 29 degree, so almost a Scorpio. Retentive, I don't know, I have a hard time letting go of things though. So there. Love ya IP: Logged |

I hear ya, bebe! Thanks for the info. I do eat a lot of whole grains and veggies. No red meat. Lots of fish. It's just my system. It's inefficient or something.(since I was a baby, plus, I have psychological trauma from memories of suppositories that my mother and I wrestled over from a very young age, due to my 'inability to go') Well, okay I smoke.... and I like chocolate. I have only nibbled lately though, after going all out at xmastime. ( jeans are tight, so I am cutting way back) But I figure this whole IBS thing keeps me bloated, because after I make it to the dreaded bathroom, I feel like, skinny. Anyway, I don't want to get detail-y on my business, this is not Freud here...... Once again, thanks for sharing , sweet stuff, I will check it out tomorrow before work ( gotta go work an afternoon shift now.. same as tomorrow)IP: Logged |

Pix, with me I think it's an emotional as well as a physical problem. I basically can go when I'm happy and busy But mostly happy. It's weird and I know I get too observant about it so it can gross out people But lots and lots of RAW veggies should work. Have you tried raw kale? That works like a charm for me. What you need to do is find what makes you regular. For me as long as I stay away from sugar and that is any kind of sugar and processed food I'm all right. But once I put more that a spoonful of ice cream or a slice of bread in my body, forget it! Well, I guess it's an uncomfortable subject to be discussing so I'll stop here. IP: Logged |

Pixie I have been using the Dr. Shulze products for years and love them. The Formula #2 is designed to stimulate the colon and get it working again. It's awesome stuff. Now, it might take more than one bottle to...em...get you going regularly but I have always been pleased with the results. I love to use it after a prolonged binge to help get those toxins out of my body. The Formula #1 is designed to pull serious toxins from your body. It can slightly constipate you, so unless you are planning to do a serious body cleanse, I wouldn't use it for now. Also...Dr. Schulze tells a story about a couple who were in a frightful panic because their baby couldn't poop. This was just a tiny baby. Doctors were ready to operate on the child, and the parents were obviously frantic. Friends recommended they call Dr. Schulze, who said "Prune Juice!" They gave the baby prune juice. Problem solved. No operation needed. Try it, Pixie. It's not so bad tasting. Don't over do it at first--it can be, well, very effective. Incorporate prunes into your diet. Now, I don't care much for prunes, but in a smoothie...they're fine! Make yourself a morning smoothie in the blender with some juice, a banana, maybe some frozen strawberries or blueberries, then throw in a few pitted prunes. I am obviously not a fan of drugs, when there are alternatives that are not going to risk your health. The drugs are not curing the problem, they are only alleviating the symptoms. Meanwhile, your problem could be getting worse. I would urge you to try the prunes, and look into the Dr. Schulze stuff. If you would like some of his printed material, I am sure I can rustle some up to send you, just let me know! Love you Pixie! IP: Logged |

Thanks sweets.... could I order his stuff from my local health store? I meant to check it out to see what ythey have to offer, but being that I work ta a pharmacy ( The owner is very into homeopathic/wholistic practices..) But the pharmacist I was talking to was really psyched about this stuff.. honestly, my vain self was caught on the catch phrase... " Alleviates bloating" It gets you back on track, and hopefully I can establish psychological boundaries ( that is probably a big factor...) and establish healthy routines.. you only go on it for four weeks or so...... I will check it out on your reccomendation... after I try this. Thanks bebe. you too.IP: Logged |

Pix, I don't think you can get Dr. Schulze's herbs at your local health food store To the best of my knowledge, he only sells online. But I'm sure you can get something similar at your store. So, your tummy is feeling better, eh? IP: Logged |

HI GIA!!!!!!! HOW ARE YOU???? Good question. Cuz I do fill my diet pretty full of fiber and stuff. *cringes about this necessary topic* But I suppose you need water to assimilate it and also bulk up.. It could be that simple. I have heard tht by the time you are feeling thirsty, you are dehydrated... and tonight, I guzzled like a whole bottle of water in a minute. I NEEDED it. Could be that simple.. but I have ALWAYS been this way. So I don't know. I like coffee, but I don't only drink coffee and tea, unless it's before noon......IP: Logged |

Listen you are harming yourself in ways you cannot understand if you don't drink enough water. There is not a single cell in the body that works to it's best ability dehydrated. You are also putting yourself at risk to very serious complications later. It has been shown in studies of the elderly with memory loss, that extreme water dehydration in brain cells was one of the main causes. You are water, not juice or coffee or tea. Please drink at least 8 large glasses a day. Your kidneys need it and so does your colon. Please Pixie even if you think you don't feel like it. No wonder you have always been impacted. It will keep your lymphatic system in good working order and does wonders for the skin and hair. Gia IP: Logged |
