Okay, I have a question, my fiance has real bad arthritis in his ankle. Does anybody know any options for relieving the pain he's going through? IP: Logged |

how old is he? There is a good chance that he may be allergic and has been to something for along time. What he really needs to do is get on a low dose antibiotic and a cleansing diet, limited to a few foods and then introduce foods slowly to see what causes the flareup. When he does flare-up he needs to put that fire out with an anti-inflammatory, after time the flareups will decrease and the swelling if any does start to go away as will any scar tissue that has built up..in time. He has to be dedicated. Arthritis in the ankle can cause much damage, this is a very bad area to have it in. Are you sure it is arthritis? Has he sustained any injuries? He may have tendon damage and cinnivitus built up around it so the thought is that it is arthritis. I've gotta get ready for work, I'll post more later if you wish. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the welcome! That's funny you mentioned cleansing, we're looking into that right now. He has been diagnosed with it for sure. He went through one expensive round of physical therapy already. He's 43 and he stocks groceries for a living. So, concrete and him go back a ways. I'm trying to think what we have eaten in the last few days and there's been nothing out of the ordinary. It just swelled up on Monday. He's taking some supplements from GNC which seemed to be helping and he's on Allegra for his allergies. IP: Logged |

Hey, Noreenz, now that I think of it, I took the easy way out on Sunday and fixed those barely edible "Au Gratin" potatoes in a box. Do you think something in those may have done it?IP: Logged |

I have found that eliminating sugar helps tremendously. I think too much meat can cause it to act up too. IP: Logged |

Somewhere I have a simple recipe developed by a Dr. for his mother, who had crippling arthritis. He experimented for many years...I'll have to see if I can find it. It's simple, really. He used a specific cod liver oil mixed with milk, which was taken every day. Had to be liquid, not caplets. Sounds disgusting, but the point was to swallow it down and not worry about it. He said it worked like a miracle. IP: Logged |

Someone I know had a small arthritis bump on her wrist. My little sister and I just smacked it with a hard book--painful, but it was relived, and the bump disappeared. Seemed to work with my mum too, cept tis was a bible.IP: Logged |
