We know that are skin cells are rejuvenating every second, and that after a certain period of time all skin cells should have been exchanged with new ones. I think that after just a month the upper layer of the skin is totaly renewed, and for the deeper layers it takes more time.
So my question is, why doesn t my scars disappear. They have been there since the doctor took away the stitches from my healed wound ages ago. And what about people with tatoos. They do loose some colour after some years, but they are still there.
I would love if someone could explain this to me.

Vitamin E, taking it daily, will help heal scar tissue, and there are silicone gel sheets you can cut and stick on the scar that will fade it over time.
You can buy the sheets in any pharmacy, or you can buy them cheaper online http://www.makemeheal.com
This site sells the small squares for about $13, it's a site for healing after cosmetic surgery.

In any case, if it's very bad, you can have the scars removed by a Plastic Surgeon's office, they have a variety methods, that are not expensive.

there is a great product for scars its called strivectin it is sold at filene's and macy's dept stores. it was originated to scars but used for wrinkles. it is clinically proven to work but you must use it 3x a day for a month to give your skin time to regenerate. i just bought some 2 weeks ago im anxious to see the results.

Thanks guys for all the nice advices. My scars are very small though. I just wundered why they don t disappear. I kind of like them, but they are not inscripted in my dna codes and my skin is renewing all the time, right, so they shouldn t be there. So I m still wundering WHY are they???

Can't answer why...but applying natural vitamin E oil is supposed to cause them to go away....I know you're already overloaded on advice...and if you like them, well fine! I know that bruises don't go away when you are deficient in vitamin C. All the anti-oxidants help with skin stuff.

Your skin has several layers to it. If the damage is superficial it will slowly heal. However if the damage is in the basal layers it can be difficult. It can be done with lasers but it's also a little risky and painful. You may not get rid of them totally but with several more natural methods we can all improve our skin.

The skin rejuvenating creams from Mene & Moy s are excellent for improving your skin. I think you need a subscription for them though, even in the states. They have creams with glycolic acid wich are making wonders with the skin. Just to give you a tip, talking about improving your skin.

I use to have bad scars, but after a few years they became barely visible- the redness does eventually fade and turn white.

I think there are a lot of things you can use to help your skin. Just blending up a few essential oils like frankinscence, lavender & olive oil would probably be all you need, because they too help the skin regenerate- I do not believe you need to spend an absolute fortune.

LOve & Peace
