I posted a thread on Soul Unions called Family Constellation (a workdshop I attended at the weekend) and realised that the only person who didnt "open up and breakdown" was a lovely guy in his 30s who was a drug and alcohol user. I got the chance to stand quite close to him and before I knew he had been an addict I remember thinking how "closed up" he felt. My Dad used anti-depressants and tranqs most of his life and it is only now he can cry (aged 78). Isnt it strange how we use substances to numb the pain and yet to heal it we really have to FEEL the emotion. Love to all Sue xxx

Alot of Dr. just pass out pills. My Aunt, she is 78, was on 10 different Meds. She got very ill and disoriented. They "think" it is because of the Meds. YA THINK????

A guy I know went to the hospital for blood poisen and was given a shot of delota. WTF?

ok, done ranting!
I am glad you father can cry and cleanse now!

Thanks Bluemoon, I suppose I rebelled coz my Dad was on tabs for so long and then when I was 18 I got into an emotional state about something. He couldnt face it so he gave me half a Valium, yeah half and it completely knocked me out for a while - lost my sparkle and ever since that I say NO WAY to any drugs. The path I choose is harder and not for everyone, I feel everything, ride the storm and my life can be a bit of an emotional roller coaster, but I feel REAL. When my husband was smoking dope for one week, I saw such a change in him, it scared me, he was just so NUMB and not responsive, thanks God he only does it now and then xxxxxx
