I'm prone to getting Bronchitis, and am currently having another episode. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, but I really hate going. Is there any herbs or vitamins that help ward off this kind of infection?

Hi Planet_Soul,
I get that all the time too but, I smoke so, as I understand it, I never really get rid of it. However, I was recently turned on to Colloidal Silver (SP?). I only know of one distributor and have not yet had any luck finding it at my local health food and vitamin stores. The biggest selling point came from the biggest scare of my life. When my daughter was 5, I found her with an empty 4 ounce bottle of it. I immediatly assumed that she had mistaken it for water, because it does not have any distinct taste. Thankfully, after I spent several minutes on the phone with Poison Control, getting various prayers answered, I discovered the full 4 oz bottle and, that the one she had, was empty when she found it. A natural AND completely SAFE antibiotic.... had she actually ingested the full 4 ounces, she would have, only possibly, found some confused, amuzement when it came time to take care of 'eliminations'. The way that it works....? It just suffocates the bug!
I'll try to get the correct spelling of it or, better still, you can check it and, all other products of the company out at:

We also use the 'Body Balence' faithfully...
Good Luck and Be Well...

All infections stem from a sluggish immune system, which can be a lot of things, but usually is just a marginal zinc deficiency in the majority of cases.

"There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll

I would be tempted to build up immune system too. Vitamin C - 1gram a day, echinachea and garlic. I take magnesium and vit be every day. Whilst having the infection, lots of garlic and make up a rub with eucalyptus, lavender, tea tree and apply to chest area a few times a day. I never get colds or chest probs coz I prevent rather than cure if you see what I mean - get well soon xx

Thank you for the kind suggestions, I'm definatly going to stock up my cabinet. Went to the doc and am now taking my first round of amoxicilan. Much better to prevent than to cure, thanks again for your help.
