I went to see a Dr. of Integrative Medicine today. I thought maybe I could use Homeopathic remedies to wean myself off of pharmaceuticals. He doesn't believe much in herbs or Homeopathy. Do any of you have experience with it? I've met a few people who got relief from some symptoms with it. He told me to do neck exercises for headaches. That might help, but I don't think it's going to do the trick. Any thoughts? I've had reactions to herbs that I've tried.

Hi Wildflwrs

I use homeopathic remedies often. For headaches I find Bella Donna 30 to be great, and effective. Ignatia is good for grief, when you are learning to let go of someone.

A lot of my friends here use them and no of us, apart from one or two use meds at all, apart from the odd painkiller now and then. I always suffered bad pmt and have just started to take starflower oil, I also take vit B complex and magnesium which helps with muscle tension.

Give them a try, they work on a very subtle level at times, but if you find the right one for your symptom they are great. Of course your doc aint gonna believe in them, he is in league with the drug comapnies isnt he LOL??

Good luck to you

Love

Sue xx

Thanks, Sue, I appreciate your response. The Bella Donna does kind of ring a bell for me. I understand there aren't side-effects--either it works or it doesn't. That doctor isn't really gung ho meds, but I think his livelihood depends on being able to prescribe. He said that a Homeopath that is a purist would have a person get off of all meds first. I have met ppl that were on meds but used Homeopathy to remedy certain symptoms though. Anyway, Thanks!!!
